  1. Wakefield has won 150+ games in his career, he is good in this rotation.
  2. Have you looked at DiceK's run support, then have you looked at Wake's. Wake has these periods, but more often then not he pitches well, especially since about 2003. Wake was 16-12 in 2005 and was our ace that season. He should have won 20 games that season if it wasn't for pathetic run support. Wake should have been like 7-1 to start the season. instead he was 4-3, because of run support. More often than not I want Wakefield in my rotation.
  3. 9-3, it would be hard to come back from this one.
  4. Well, seeing how other than the last 2 weeks, Wakefield has been much more reliable then Schill, and DiceK. Honestly to say that Wake isn't a highly valuable is absurd.
  5. Why the f*** did Tito let Wake go this long. He should have been taken out after the second inning.
  6. What player hit .349 in the 2002 season?
  7. correct but my bad it was 2003
  8. I think it would only be a step up if Pierce and Jefferson were not involved in the deal, which would probably be impossible. So I think you are right, Kobe will never be a Celtic. However, if Ainge somehow pulled this out of his ass the Celtics would at least be relevant agian.
  9. Beat you to it! But I think the Celtics should throw Pierce and Green and the 5th pick for Bryant. That would leave a starting lineup of West, Bryant, Wally, Gomes, Jefferson
  10. I say one more start from Lester, to get him around 100 pitches and then bring him up then. It will be a huge boost for the rotation even though Tavarez has been pitching decently.
  11. Here is the link, he says nothing the Lakers do will change his mind. How about Pierce, Gomes, Green and the 5th pick for Kobe? ESPN.com: Kobe Bryant fuming, demanding trade from Lakers
  12. Youk is so hot right now!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Last night featured the return of Curt Schilling IMO. He was teriffic last night. He had the great splitter, and in the late innings he was throwing 92-94 consitently which we have not seen basically since last April when he started off so hot. If he can pitch like this more often then not, we are in great shape. I was completley wrong about Pedroia, this kid can hit and play solid defense. I almost think it wouldn't be a horrible idea to hit Pedroia leadoff, with Youk hitting second. That would create a lot of base runners for Manny and Ortiz. Lugo can not continue to leadoff, he just isn't a leadoff guy.
  14. What Red Sox batter hit 3 homeruns on his birthday in 2001?
  15. With Ortiz out, what would you suggest the batting order to be? Drew second, and Lowell hitting fifth? I have actually been thinking lately, that when everyone is in the lineup, Drew should leadoff and have Coco and Lugo at the bottom of the order. But why change anything right now when we are 35-15 and 13.5 games ahead of the Yankees. Edit- maybe when Ortiz is out we could bat Pedroia 2nd, he has really been hammering the cover off the ball lately.
  16. Let's get real here, Trot Nixon was dreadful last sesaon. J.D. is a good hitter with a very good eye. His defense is a huge upgrade over Nixon. Drew is going to hit .275 with 25 hrs and about 80-100 RBI. Don't worry about Drew he will be fine.
  17. This is the end of the Boston Celtics.
  18. His ERA's for the last three years are completely irelevant, he has not posted an ERA bellow 3.51 in the AL since 1998. He was a 6 inning pitcher in the NL last year. How does that translate? I think to say that Clemens is worth what they are paying him especially if the Yankees fall further out is an absolute joke.
  19. Let me guess the Yankees are right back in the race now?
  20. What an ugly game last night. I think we can safely say that Hansack will never pitch for the Red Sox again.
