  1. On another note, I want to see more Buchholz. He looked really nasty today and he didn't have his best location at times. When the Angels had four hits in a row none of them were hit hard at all. I think he could really help us out down the stretch. The problem is that nobody is pitching poorly enough right now to justify bumping somebody out of the rotation.
  2. True, but why not just bump Lester up? It would still be regular rest. Lester probably gives us a better chance to win than Julian who has not pitched well since early June.
  3. Say Tito had used MDC, and say Beckett get's knocked around early however, we battle back and it's a game of the bulpens. I would feel much more confidant with MDC available in a game like that because Papelbon was in the game in game 1 and he was not going to be allowed in game under any circumstances. I don't think Tito was wrong at all, however I do feel that it probably wouldn't have been a terrible thing to let Paps pitch again tonight as well. I am tired of the kid gloves.
  4. Why does Tavarez have to start on Sunday? If they are so concerned that Wake will suck again vs. the Angels why not just bump Lester up instead of putting Tavarez out there, which will almost gaurantee a loss?
  5. Eric Gange is this years Rudy Seanez. Seriously think about, both pitchers used to throw about 100, now they throw 92-93, both used to have nasty offspeed stuff but now it's just marginal. So let's let him work in blowouts only at this point.
  6. Papelbon is strong, he could have gone no problem tonight. I think it's time to take the kid gloves off. Okijima better become the 8th inning guy again immediately. I can't believe Gange has sucked so bad. He has single handedly cost us 3 games in the standings in the last week. What a waste of a roster spot. No more big situations for Gange, ever. I can't f***ing believe we are going to lose this game. We finally have so magic and Gange just pops a hole in the ballon.
  7. Holy crap this is amazing!! I can't remember when it was fun watching this offense. I hope Beli is O.K.
  8. Beli is starting to actually hit since the all-star break. It's kind of like the 2004 Beli in the last month or so.
  9. Youk>>>> Pena I didn't actually read your entire post. Wait, did you edit it after or am I retarded?
  10. This is just what Clay needed, now he can settle into his outting and hopefully starting dominating. Mike Lowell has been an RBI machine this season BTW.
  11. I apologize J.D. you are not a total bag of s***.
  12. Hell yeah. Where have you been big Papi?!!!!
  13. Youk needs to be dropped in the lineup, he has sucked since mid June.
  14. Dusty continuing to rake. Let's make that count please.
  15. wow, that changeup is pedro-ish.
  16. I say Schilling, simply because I have zero faith in Mussina to win a big game. Schilling is much more rested than Mussina which is a huge benefit. Schill so far has pitched really well since coming off the D.L. He pitched well in Anahiem minus the 7th inning and he was very solid yesterday. I was listening to the game on the radio and they said he topped out at 94 MPH which is a very good sign. I can not really say that much about Mussina lately, however when we saw him against us he was pretty much awful. If his fastball is still topping out at 86-87 I give the distinct edge to Schilling.
  17. Actually his velocity has actually gone up since the begining of the season. He was throwing 89-91 back in May when the Rangers played the Sox in Texas. He has hit 94 on the radar gun with the sox which I am pretty sure his as hard as he has been throwing all season long.
