  1. Nice start by Beckett. Let's go offense!
  2. Bos NYY CHI COL BOS CHI BOS 7 Beckett
  3. haha ok Gom. Seriously it takes starting pitching in the post season. While I'll admit that your starters are servicable, you can't expect any of them expect Wang to make it past the 6th inning.
  4. I can't wait, the first legitmate shot at a title since 04. This is going to be a wild and exhausting ride. Let the fun begin!!!!
  5. Gom your avatar scares the hell out of me.
  6. Nice no 10:00 Pm start times.
  7. Personally I like the old format better as a fan. I hate waiting every other day between almost every game. Although it's better for the team since both Beckett and Schilling could pitch twice in the series.
  8. Ok, I think we are all excited about the up coming Angels-Sox series, so I thought I would start a thread to talk about it. I think the first two games the pitching is almost a wash. Beckett has been great this season, but so hasn't Lackey. One thing we do have going for us is the fact that Lackey isn't great against us and he has been horrible at Fenway in his career. Also in game 2 Escobar has been really good this season and he has the ability to shut down every offense in the AL on a given start. We all know what Schilling has done in the past during the postseason. I don't know if that even factors in here seeing on how Schilling is a completely different pitcher than he was in any other postseason. That being said he has been pretty darn good since he came off the D.L. I just have a feeling that Schilling is going to come up huge this postseason. It's really hard to say but I think the sox have a really good shot at winning both games, but 1-1 could be a strong possiblility.
  9. You are not missing out. Unless you enjoy the word skankees.:dunno:
  10. Wakefield is a lock, whether he should be a lock is questionable but regardless he is a lock. He could be vaulable out of the pen as he was in 04. Let's remember Wake wasn't exactly on a roll heading into the 04 postseason. Buchholz will be on the roster as well IMO, he has a lot of value in relief. So basically Kilo I agree with everyone of your picks except it will be Wake over Lester. Which could benefit us because even Wake has sucked recently I would rather have Wake go instead of Lester in a big game. I don't trust either of them but given the choice I narrowly take wake. Although to be perfecty honest how much better has DiceK been than Wake recently. It's pretty close which is a scary thing for us.
  11. I have a good feeling about this game tonight.
  12. We have all been Dicek'ed.
  13. Well we agree on one thing. I could see him pitching say the 7th and 8th tommorow night if Schilling can make it through six innings. Why waste his limited appearances in a game that is in the books?
  14. I disagree. Jacoby just makes things happen, Drew is a singles hitter right now and he doesn't bring the speed element than Ellsbury does. I don't maybe you are right, but how can you justify not letting him play when he has been so damn productive all season long, at every level he has played at?
  15. J.D has played better of late, but seriously the way you have been talking about him lately makes it seems like he has done anything this season. Wouldn't you rather have Ellsbury in RF rather than Drew when Manny gets back?
  16. This was just a great win today all together. Seriously Beckett showed us what he is made out of, Ellsbury has to be the starting RF in the playoffs. He is way more productive than J.D. He is an igniter, and he is going to be great to watch over the next 5-10 years. With Pedroia, Ellsbury, and Buchholz our future looks pretty damn bright.
  17. Ortiz comes up huge again. Wow, Ellsbury is so fast, I have never seen speed like that before on the Red Sox.
  18. Ellsbury is a stud. There is no question about.
  19. even though he is out, that just feels good to see, especially after the MFY hit youk again.
  20. Wow, what a dumbass fan.
