J.D. hasnt been consistenly great all year, he has been solid as far as OBP, but take away June, and his power numbers are much like last years, quite pitiful. Didnt he have like 11 hrs and 30 RBIS in June?

Nice play by O.C. by the way I really like Mark Kotsay so far. Great addition by Theo. The team seems to be really shaping up. If Beckett comes back strong I see no reason why we can't make a strong run at another W.S.

This is kind of exciting, because for me it seems like the stretch run is starting tonight. The baseball should start getting that playoff intensity, which always makes things more exciting.

This series is going to set the tone for the rest of the season. If we show up and play well, that could easily catipult us into a divison race with Tampa. If we dont, then we will be struggling for the wild card if you ask me. This game worries me, because over the last 2-3 seasons Wake has sucked big time against the Yankees. Go Sox!

I really hope Lugo never sees the field when he gets healthy. Seriously, Jed Lowrie is a breath of fresh air at short stop. He makes plays, has great gap power and hits in the clutch situations. No more Lugo.

Initially I thought it was dumb to not play Tek tonight, seeing as how he looks to be coming around, however thinking about it this is a good idea. It gives him a needed day off and he can feel good about things all day long, thus making the rest possibly more beneficial.
