Had nothing to do with clutch or not clutch. If you've seen JJ in the last 3-4 games something has been wrong. He just hasn't been JJ Redick. It's not like he just started missing shots in the 4th with a minute left ... like you said 1 FG in the second half. That has nothing to do with choking and everything to do with fatigue ... and injury ... or something just not being right with him. Couldn't agree more. Going into this game I was talking to a fellow Duke fan and predicted that UNC would roll us. I don't know whats wrong with JJ, but if it's not fixed by tourney time it may be one of Duke's worst showings in recent memory.

Can I ask why people are suggesting we put Paps in the pen? I don't think theres anything in the world that could stunt a starting pitchers growth more than a season in the bullpen. Sure you might think, great lets get him some more big league experience, but in reality you're destroying his arm, and his head. First of all, to go from throwing 1 game a week, to potentially throwing every single game in a week is horrible for a young arm. Second, to be told that you're starting out in the pen, FOR WHATEVER REASON, is horrible for your confidence as a starter. It doesn't matter if there are 5 HOF pitchers on the staff, being told you're not good enough to start is not going to do any SP any favors ... especially a young one. Maybe I'm wrong ... but I dont think so. Trade Arroyo now ... he's a marginal pitcher on his best day, and now has even less of a spot than he did before Boomer made his decision. I'm not sure how everyone else feels about Arroyo, but watching him on the mound is more frustrating than watching any pitcher in baseball. He's 29 and he's still yet to learn how to locate a fastball ... bye Bronson.

Neither Memphis or Texas are being considered for the #1 spot. Texas basically had their #1 hopes ended early this year when Duke spanked them. It's gonna be Duke, or UConn ... possibly Nova. Memphis, Texas, and Gonzaga are not #1 teams. BTW it's highly unlikely that Gonzaga is gonna leapfrog 4 teams to get to #1 no matter who they've beat, or didn't beat. So even if they deserved it they wouldn't get it.

Well yeah of course. Being a Yankee cancels out everything else. If my best friend became a Yankee I'd hate him too. I'm saying aside from the teams I hate with a passion, I'll always pull for an Italian over someone who's not.

I would have taken the "his defense sucks cause he switches positions" routine 5 years ago, but he's been a 2B for at least 7 years. I think it might be time for him to learn how to catch a ground ball thats coming at him from the opposite angle he's used to.

Absolutly. You don't have to like the sport, or like any team inparticular ... the tournement is great entertainment for everyone. Unless the Steelers are in the Super Bowl or the Red Sox are in the World Series this is the most exciting sports time of the year.

Trust me had the officials called it down the middle it wouldn't have been close as close ... even with JJ's poor shooting night. If anything a game like that would make me not want to watch college bball

I really like what Cano brings at the plate besides the free-swinging that you mentioned, but do you think the Yankees could hire a Minor League coach that could teach your 2B's how to field. Soriano is disgusting in the field and Cano is hardly any better.

Memphis has 2 wins that are worth a f*** this whole year. Them being in the top 5 in a complete joke if you ask me. The ACC and Big East may not be all of basketball, but they are without a doubt the two best conferences ... the best rivalries ... and the National champ this year will come from one of the two confereneces. Sorry that I don't care about a memphis team that hasn't beaten anyone of note in their last 17 games. Sorry I'm not excited about that big win over UTEP last week.
