Watch the Duke game tonight at 10:08 on CBS ... see how many points JJ gets off the dribble, and how many times he just catches and shoots. I'm not saying he has great handle, but he's not just a shooter.

I dont know how you guys determine "athletic ability" ... think you could explain it to me? I think you have to be pretty athletic to play 37.2 minutes a game. You have to be pretty athletic to get away from the best defender on every team you play, and you have to be pretty athletic to get away from double teams. Just because he doesn't showboat and do crazy dunks doesn't mean he's not athletic.

... SG ... you don't have to be 6'5 to play in the NBA

Oakland's McAfee Coliseum bumps Fenway as smallest capacity
MC Hammer replied to riverside sluggers's topic in Other Baseball
I love when designers put brick walls in the outfield. Guys ... plays crash into walls ... how bout some padding. -
And what evidence do you have to prove that?

I'm willing to bet I'm the only one that picked the team I did to win it all. I can't say that I picked Albany ... but it's definatly a reach.
-
All you Pats fans need to calm down. Bellichic has built a program that reminds me a lot of the Steelers, where as it's no so much the players, but the coaches and the system. Yes you guys are losing a lot of players, but you still have one of the best coaches in the league, the best QB, and a good cast a characters. Bellichic will get the right pieces and make sure that you guys are in the hunt every year he's with the team. I know it seems strange that the Pats are letting so many guys walk away, but trust me they know what they're doing. You don't win 3 Super Bowls in a decade without knowing what you're doing. Mcginest is 35 years old. His productive days as an NFL LB are quickly coming to an end, and to sign him to anything but a 1 year deal would be a bad business move. I can't image any team ... even the browns ... was willing to offer a 3 year contract to a 35 year old LB. I strongly doubt he's going to play out the contract.
-
Alright I'll explain this like I did way back when I first got here. I live in Pittsburgh so naturally I'm a Steelers Fan ... have been since birth. I was and still am a Pirates fan, and while watching the Pirates I fell in love with a young right hander playing for the expos. When he was traded to the Red Sox I continued following his career and watching as many Red Sox game as I could ... by the end of that season I was a Red Sox fan. As far as College BBall goes I became a Duke fan simply because I saw more of their games than any other team. They became my favorite team when I was 5 or 6 and I've been with them since.
-
And you didn't get Greg Maddux because I did
-
It's not like he's getting these open looks because people are scared to guard him in college. The team is setting screens for him and he's beating defenders when they're not. He's faced the best defender on just about every team Duke has played ... and usually had a 2nd guy following him around the court as well. If he's able to get as wide open as he does against the best in the nation ... I'm sure he'll at least be able to get himself open enough to get his shot in the NBA.
-
Now that you mention it, it was. It really doesn't matter though ... 31 points is 31 points.
-
Neither will go first. If Rudy Gay comes out, whatever NBA team has the first pick would be foolish not to take him.

Should the Red Sox keep their 2004 rules
MC Hammer replied to americanoutlaw's topic in Boston Red Sox Talk
Yes he did, and so did every single player who was on the team for atleast 1 game. -
I definatly am. I'm sitting in school getting my lists together instead of doing my work.
-
Instead of calling you how bout I just send you the game tape from when Duke and Texas met this year. Maybe I should watch it again before I send it to you ... I can't remember if we beat Texas by 30 or 40 on their home floor.
-
Obviously he hasn't. As someone who played baseball for 13 years I can say that I've been beaned twice. One actually hit me in the face when I was only 8, and another turned a helemet into 20 pieces when I was 17. Trust me getting hit in the head is anything but a nonevent no matter how hard you're hit. Like I said before I have no problem with Curt's comments, but to say getting hit in the head is no big deal is wrong, and pretty dumb.

Bonds Told Griffey He was Going to Use Steroids
MC Hammer replied to He Hate Me's topic in Other Baseball
Exactly. McGwire needed the roids to be a good hitter ... Bonds was already one of the best players the game had ever seen. You'd think between his father and his god father one of them would have talked him out of it way back when ... guess not though. krein, he's not even getting what he deserves. He deserves to be banned from baseball, and have every single one of his records removed. He still has yet to recieve any punishment for not only cheating them game, but breaking laws in this country. If some honest stories coming out about him in the media are the worst thing that happens to him, then he should be greatful. -
Yeah actually I just read it as "won't" as I didn't know wont was a word. Thanks for clearing that up.
-
Mine will be finished tomorrow hopefully. I'm still on the fence with a few matchups.
-
I could see the Cowboys picking up TO as early as tonight.
-
Wouldn't a 4+ era make him a 1 year wonder?
-
He pitched 6 more innings, so that means he managed to not let up a HR for 6 whole innings .... BRAVO!
-
I don't think that we wait till the end of 07, but I definatly think we wait till the end of this season. He's making 5.2 million this year, and I just don't see a reason why you'd want to double that number before you have to. I understand you want security, but you have to think of it like a business ... it just doesn't make sense. After the season you get something done ... if you can't ... you fall back on the option and still have an entire year to get a deal done.
