yea but I feel like I kinda painted myself into a corner feeling like I needed another middle of the order bat and Ramirez seemed like the best available option. But I also feel like I've got enough pop up and down my lineup that the dip in his SLG won't hurt much
It's all relative to what's gonna be available at the trade deadline and who is gonna have pitching needs. He's a guy who seems to have recovered well from shoulder problems, is in his prime (at least age-wise) and probably wouldn't break anyone's bank on his next contract.
well, he's putting up about a QS in the ALE. The biggest question with him was his health and as evidenced by his FB, he seems ok. I'd think a lot of NL teams would show interest in him.
how about David Price, 100 pitches in only 3.1 IP
thats the difference between the '08 and '09 Rays, the bullpen. and thats whats kept the Sox out front
I was thinking about this when walking my dog earlier and im all for giving Wakefield like a month off in July for either Smoltz or Buchholz. But I still see a trade coming. You cant even put anyone in the bullpen cause their stacked as well...if only Ortiz was even a shell of his former self right now....
