  1. he'll go to s*** in the AL
  2. Pedroia definitely doesn't have great speed. He's not Kevin Youkilis slow but speed is definitely not in his arsenal
  3. Ellsbury Pedroia Ortiz Manny Lowell Drew Youkilis Varitek Lugo aside from maybe inverting Youk and Drew, that's what I'd expect to see on opening day
  4. Interesting that Henry personally called Lowell but it didn't seem necessary. He obviously likes Boston but baseball is a business and if he could've got a fourth year somewhere, he should take it
  5. so the Angels need bats to help out the pitching so they deal away Cabrera?! I dont quite understand that one All I can think of is the Angels are getting ready to say goodbye to Jered Weaver and/or Ervin Santana in a deal for Miguel Cabrera
  6. Zito has arguably the most ridiculous contract ever given to a player, A-Rod included
  7. sounds like no one was willing to give him that fourth year. thats good news if indeed he signs for three years
  8. I don't know what they should do. Ideally, I'd still see Mike Lowell at third but I don't really want to see him at third in 2011. But I do know I want to see something better than moving the best defensive first baseman in baseball to third and Washington's future considerations at first
  9. I'm dreading them putting Youkilis at 3rd and Chris Carter at 1st which means that's probably what they'll do
  10. im really starting to think Lowell is going to the Yankees. we're screwed
  11. Rotoworld
  12. apparently, there's a snag in the negotiations as Rivera wants a fourth year on the contract offer of 3 years and $45 million
  13. the bottom line is not only do the Yankees have the deepest pockets in baseball, but they have the biggest need for a 3rd baseman. everything else doesn't matter
  14. I guess the positive side is that the Sox won't be the official home team so no games at Fenway will be lost. Even though I imagine most of the people in attendance will be rooting for the Sox
  15. He'll sign with New York
  16. Millar will always have a special place in my heart but he should not be anywhere near a discussion about what to do to replace Mike Lowell
  17. wow, didnt even know he left the Tigers
  18. Beckett faced better hitting lineups too
  19. f***ing hell
  20. Congrats to Dusty, he had a sick season Ryan Braun won in the NL and had this to say about it It's kinda refreshing to see someone admit that he cares about winning an award like this as opposed to the typical "individual awards mean nothing to me" attitude
  21. Beckett and Lowell were indespensable parts to this year's championship. That, alone, makes them the winners of the trade IMO
  22. amazing that it only came out now. well, it just adds to the amazing story of this season
  23. get him as far away from Boston as possible
