  1. Would have liked to have joined, but I don't know a thing about Fantasy Baseball. Good luck to everyone.
  2. I didn't see the game. It sounds like Coco did the job offensively, but how did he look on defense ?
  3. Thanks for the option. However, I was pissed about the complete waste of my time on a useless excerise. There was no way I was going to get any decent tickets from that exercise. The tickets were inconsequental compared to the time lost. Money can be replaced, time can't. I immediately went and acquired NY Yanks tickets after that. But I had to make up that time by working latter and latter. I'm getting a little old to be working till 3 or 4 in the morning. I rarely go the games anyways ( tickets go to the family, friends, & talksox ).
  4. Big welcome NEM ! I've read alot of your posts on PatsFans.com. ( where I've been a member for awhile ). Some real good thought and insight ! Look forward to seeing your posts here.
  5. Welcome, we can always use a fan with a sense of humor.
  6. Take a look at his stats before he got beamed. Also factor in that it was a different era , higher mound, juiced ball, etc. But that's not my point. My point is he was a rising star till he got hurt with all the potential in the world. But its performance that should be the criteria for Hall induction not potential. This is why Tony C. didn't get in, and Kirby should either.
  7. It will probably in the defense, could also be a linebacker ( we're getting a little long in the tooth there also ). I depends on who they release, whats available on the FA market, who slips in the draft, and what the Pats are offered in trades on draft day. Leaks of what the Pats are going to do are somewhat of a joke, Bill B. almost never follows the rumors.
  8. River, your correct. Ortiz is signed for 2006 and the Sox have an option for 2007. Personally, I think David will have a new contract before the home opener.
  9. I most definately agree. His days are numbered.
  10. If the Puckett logic is valid for the Hall ( ie career cut short due to injury ). Then why the hell wouldn't Tony C. have been elected ???
  11. Who's running this thing ?
  12. Yes PatsFans.com is a very good site. Welcome to talksox !
  13. Thanks. I really do think we have a great bunch of guys ( gals ) and are fast becoming a site to be envied.
  14. That isn't entirely accurate. What I said was, " Due to lack of time ( tax season ) and lack of personal interest, I have no interest in running any contests for basketball ( Pro or college ) or hockey ".
  15. That option expired a few dats ago. In Adam's case he was franchised two out of the last three years. Essentially it means he gets payed the average of the top players at his position for one year. If the Pats did tag him it would cost the Pats a little over 3 Mil for one year. Adam wants money, years, and a guarenntee.
  16. The 2007 season starts March 1 or there abouts.
  17. Your'e getting confused with Calendar years and Fiscal years. The NFL runs on a Fiscal Year, which starts on or about March 1.
  18. You're assuming that there is a cap. Also, the reason the Pats didn't tag AV was ?
  19. Good thought on the endorsements, but they don't pay that much ( they're regional commercials ). Real money Pats = 6 Mil. vs Free agency 9-16 Mil. This is his most likely his last chance to grab the big money.
  20. Now if you phrased it right " Girls, what should I do ? " They would say simple, ask him for a date !
  21. Adam is looking for a 3 Mill. / 4 Mill. X 3 or 4 years. ( which is what he heard form his agent he can get ) , the Pats are offering 2 yrs x 3 Mill. tops That's a big spread. There's also no agreement on the new contract ( thus the possibility of no cap this year ).
  22. Say good bye to Adam V. too !
  23. Do you still come to the Cape ? Or do live here ? I vauguely remember you saying you lived on the upper Cape, I believe Bourne ?
  24. Love a man with taste !! PS : Don't forget the scallops !!
  25. It's tough being a "stud" they must to stocking you. Just kidding, best laugh I had today. Whay stocker said is probably the most accurate though.
