Thats a terrible way to look at it. The Ortiz contract drama wouldn't have ever existed if they just cut bait from day 1. They could have easily lost only one (the other one).

The best way to look at it was losing Papelbon instead of Ortiz. We have plenty of offense and Lavarnway will either rot on the bench or be sent to AAA. Meanwhile, we have no closer.

If I remember right, he got temp banned.......was pissed off about it, created another username and said goodbye. He came back for a couple of posts, but disappeared again. He was a funny guy. TS was great back then. For what its worth though, TS seems to have gotten much better over the last month or so. Any ideas of what improved it?

You people defend him like hes Pedro Martinez, meanwhile hes won over 15 games just 2 times in his Boston career and has never K'd more than 200 in a season. Throw in the fact that in 3 of his 6 years here in Boston hes had an ERA over 4.00 (4.03) once and had an ERA over 5.00 twice (5.01, 5.78) and failed to make 30 starts in 2 or his 6 years. Yeah, some ace.

I also question some of the stuff they do, but there is no need to take it to the level you do sometimes. They arent the CIA. There is no covert OPS. There are no men in black.
