  1. You suck Ramirez.
  2. 2-3, Another HR (6).
  3. I think the Sox take batting practice 2 hours before game time, and the away club takes BP 45 minutes before the game starts. You can go anywhere during BP, your regular ticket gets you in......once you are in though, you are in for good. Make sure you do whatever you have to do outside of the stadium before you go in.
  4. You can sit in the stands during batting practice.
  5. I arrive around 5-530 PM. I usually go to GAME ON, a local bar and grab a pizza and beer. Going to a RedSox game isnt simply a baseball game, its an event. The buzz around the park before games is what gets me most excited to go to Fenway. There is very little room to walk around, its very cramped. If you want to walk around.....do it before the game starts. You can pretty much see any area you want except the Green Monster seating area, and the VIP areas. The best food outside the stadium is the sausage guy sausages. And yes, there is a difference between the different sausage carts. Sausage guy makes his own sausage, while most others just pick up a pack of sweet italians from their local supermarket. The best food inside the stadium is the Fenway Frank. It is a Kayem hot dog that is steamed/or grilles and has a hint of smoky/spiciness. Get it with spicy mustard only. Do not get them from concession stands (they grill them on rollers), rather....get them from a vendor in the stands (those ones are steamed). Vendor dogs are more authentic. As far as drink, basically anywhere you go......you will get a watered down draft pilsner beer. Make sure you get 2 at a time (dont want to look like a rookie). Dont worry about being polite, people understand that the place is cramped. Most people are more than accommodating to stand up and let you pass to do whatever you have to do (although I try to wait in between innings). Clothing, if its 60 or up, I recommend shorts and a T shirt......and bring a pullover sweatshirt or light jacket. Less than 60, dress to be a little colder.
  6. Can we move along before this thread gets closed please?
  7. That line drive to right on a full count was a vintage Papi swing......great AB.
  8. Its clear you dont like Beckett. Thats fine. He is paid like an ace, and he is treated like one....not to mention he was just extended. Ace or not, they clearly think highly of him.....more so than most sox fans. Neither here or there however, since I put " " around the word ace.....basically taking a dig at the notion.
  9. They get swept by the Orioles, then we sweep the Angels......then the Yankees blow us out in game one when our "Ace" is pitching. This team is hard to figure out. All in all, disappointing. There were some positives though. Martinez is continuing to get hot, Drew is continuing to get hot and Ortiz is creeping up to the Mendoza line with another hit. Beckett needs to figure his s*** out, this is unacceptable.
  10. These ceremonies this team puts on are starting to lose significance. I mean, why didnt they just honor Nomar on opening day as they did with Pedro. To me it seems that Larry Luchino is more interested in the "story book" side of the RedSox. It always seems he is trying to raise the bar and honor people in a story book ending type of way. Remember opening day? All that ******** about the Redsox Yankees rivalry? Was is necessary? They were playing their hated rivals, on opening day (a holiday around these parts). Was it really necessary for all the bells and whistles? Whats next? Mark Bellhorn appreciation day? Appreciation of Dave Mccarty pitching in a blowout day? Pokey Reese fielding a ground ball to win against the New York Yankees in game seven of the major league baseball playoffs league championship series only to win the first world series in 86 years day?
  11. They have taught me that a lot of math nerds like baseball.
  12. When will it end. How many for 0 fers do we have to see. This is mind blowing. It could cost Tito his job in the end. His loyalty could be his downfall. In the past he cut ties with "his guys" earlier than this. There is no reason for Mike Lowell to sit on the bench.......none. Yeah, Pineiro is a righty, but Ortiz doesnt hit righty or lefty pitching so it doesnt matter.
  13. No they didnt.....are you serious?
  14. Nice job closing it out.
  15. Van Every....Mr. Buzzkill
  16. Lowell....DH, now. After Papr 0-4, 2 K's, 2 GiDP, and Lowell is 5 for his last 5.....no questions.
  17. Dipre, I like you....I cant stand seeing that avatar....it was a valiant effort of support in your part, but time to cut your losses.
  18. JEEEEZ Terry, a little late for that Mike Lowell PH dont ya think? It worked out.....but I mean....seriously. You think Ortiz was in the dugout giving high fives, or pouting in the clubhouse?
  19. What a terrible play in LF.
  20. WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
  21. That was ball 3.
  22. Enough of this s***, f*** him.....bench his ass, this team is below .500, and hes hitting under .150.....enough with the f***ing coddling....see ya later Ortiz....enough is enough.
  23. WOW....just WOW
