  1. Short remarks is all it takes to show your errors. Don't blame me because you make it so easy.
  2. Folding so early? Good choice, you didn't have the cards.
  3. How, exactly, is that a retort to what I said?
  4. Girders are primary horizontal (ie beams) structural members that carry other, smaller beams. Obstructed views at Fenway are primarily caused by columns (vertical structural members). When looking at a structure, girders are usually the big beams that span from top of column to top of column, and regular beams are supported by the girder between columns.
  5. I'd bet dollars to donuts that hypothesis is strongly influenced by a combination of Montero's hype and Jacko's insatiable need to make himself feel good about the Yankee prospects. Reality made an exit stage left with him long ago.
  6. Dude, you are so right. I have friend, of my grandmother's dog walker, the girl who knows the dog walker's boyfriend, well, anyway, she said Theo was, literally, sitting on his hands. No really, he had his thumbs right in his rectum. Good call, man.
  7. Is that another way of saying pure, unrefined douche? If so, I agree.
  8. Doesn't that, the "It's all a matter of playing to potential" bit, mean that it is a good possibility that the Sox rotation does match up? Brushing aside Beckett and Lackey as question marks in one breath then relying on "playing to potential" for the Yankees in the next is a massive double standard. Be consistent.
  9. Yeah, he got served jello all year with a cork on fork. Dude's a drooling veg.
  10. The Lerners have money, that much is true. I'm not sure if they are willing to go above and beyond market to bring in premier FA talent. Usually, all things being equal, ie equal-ish money, those guys pick an established contender for some post-season glory. It's the Yankees #1 non-money selling point. Yes, Washington is on the cusp of contending. They aren't quite there yet though. I think the Lerners will have to go above and beyond to bring a guy like Lee in. It could happen, anything could, but I'm skeptical they do that for Lee.
  11. He stopped and reversed course. That was clearly over Wise's head.
  12. Swisher is my favorite Yankee baserunner. He's a complete dunce out there. I can't believe Teixeira was able to get the ball down on the ground before the track with that trajectory. Wise should play a little deeper when someone with power is up. LOL. Failure.
  13. Exploded? When he "mastered" the higher levels he was a .820-ish offensive producer. That's good, but the only thing exploding is the hyperbole of your description. Most of that sentiment that popped your neck veins came when Gardner was toiling to a .675 OPS in AAA to close the year while Ellsbury was banging out a .900 in the bigs and igniting the offense that won the WS. How dare they think he was better?
  14. Huge, huge, huge. They encroached making it a re-kick, and the keeper stops the second chance. Crazy stuff.
  15. And now we get one on the other end. Another correct call, IMO.
  16. Wow, saved it.
  17. Big call, but I think it was the right one.
  18. Maybe. But none of that means they will this year. Hell, think about like you would a .300 hitter. If a guy normally hits about .300, with some years being good early / bad late and vice versa, what would you think about his second half if he was hitting .320? The Yankees are usually about a .600 win team. You see where this is going. Anyway, this has nothing to do with impact to my team. Given their start and their injuries, it will be remarkable if they make the playoffs. I just enjoy poking a stick in your side every time you pull your s*** here.
  19. For the same reason you shouldn't think there's a higher probability of tails on the next coin flip when the last 10 were heads. What happened on previous tosses doesn't impact the next one, and what happened in previous seasons doesn't impact this one.
  20. It's tough to score when players are selfish and take bad shots, but it's kind of almost worse when you over pass and don't even shoot at all, which is what Spain appears to be doing, IMO.
