    Their rotation will be pretty good for the postseason. Colon, Washburn, Lackey, Santana, and Kelvim Escobar is about to start a rehab stint. I hope either we/they overtake the ChiSox for home field, because I don't want the Angels in the opening round.

    I'm predicting that the CWS are at the beginning of a big slide. Minnesota could win the Central.

    I think they have been waiting for the consistant velocity from Curt, and he had it last night. Now two questions arise. Can Mike handle it? Didn't look good last night, but not bad either. Who will fill the bridge role? Hansen and Papelbon, with Bradford and Myers for situational work, would be my guess.

    What in the hell was Guillen thinking there? If they sac bunt, they get runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1-out and Iguchi coming up. He's a decent hitter, and with Everett on deck, I doubt they walk Iguchi to load the bases for him. Instead he opts for the bunt-bluff hit-and-run, and Perez hits a very soft liner to Jeter, who doubles up Blum after he runs on the pitch. Guillen could have manufactured a run, instead he manufactures a DP. That coming in a 0-0 ballgame has to be one of the worst managerial decisions I've seen this year.

    The Fox national broadcast will be a double header, it's just up to local affiliates to decide if they want to play two games, which rarely happens. I guess Cops reruns are just too important.

    Yeah, Fox's contract has all other television media coverage blacked out if it is a day game on Saturdays. This is their way of assuring that the fans watch THEIR game. All games that start after 7:00 pm local time can be aired by the home broadcast station, mlb.tv, etc. It sucks.

    Agreed. I'm most encouraged by the velocity. To get the splitter to work you have to throw it hard. When he was missing his velocity (88-90 against Chicago and Detroit) the splitter wasn't diving enough and staying around the knees. You could tell that was on his mind because he bounced a few there tonight. But with the velocity will come the nasty splitter.
