  1. This kid Sisco throws gas, but it doesn't move much, one of the big boys could hit a bomb off of him.
  2. If he is the starter that they move to the 'pen since Schilling is returning to the rotation, then he could throw as many innings as they need him (provided the game doesn't last a ridiculous 18 innings).
  3. That was fast. Good pitch sequences from Bronson.
  4. They are planning on using him to start Sunday while Wells serves his suspension. Wasn't his hearing today?
  5. I hate to say this, but at some point, Tito is going to have to put Remlinger in to finish this game. Gonzo went 3 last night, Myers used, Bradford used, Timlin with a high pitch-count inning.
  6. Nobody wants this one.
  7. Timlin has NO control tonight....a walk, and has been behind every batter.
  8. Big escape for Bradford. Time for some offense.
  9. You gotta be f***ing kidding me, Tek misses a cookie, then a web-gem to leave 'em loaded 3 innings in a row.
  10. Sacks full......again.
  11. Sweet! Now let's get some runs.
  12. 0-2 and he hits him......team looks REAL flat tonight.
  13. I agree, I've always thought the whole situation worked the best way it could have. Jeter is a good SS, but as far as his peers go he has an average arm for his position, while ARod has a very strong arm. The decision was really a no brainer. SITN's suggestion about playing Jeter at 2B has some merit, but then who plays 3rd?
  14. Wells dinger, 8-0......That "sexy bitch" is looking a little more like a gutter-slut tonight.
  15. True, the only one he hit this year was just beyond Pesky's Pole.
  16. Don't respond, Kevin just put my foot in my mouth.
  17. I'm in absolute agreement about resting Olerud. If we are going on previous performance, then yes Millar has a better resume than Petagine. But Roberto is playing better the last two weeks. Ride the horse that runs fastest. And yes, I know we are playing the Royals so it's probably a moot point.
  18. I know, but there is another option on the bench.
  19. I sat there and watched it happen...He took the lineup card and went to each roster spot and wrote a name down.......I mean, the shear insanity of it.....it was perfect......perfectly stupid........he put Millar's name down.......the horror.......the horror.
  20. 1-People get a kick out of watching a train wreck, and spending >200M$ and potentially not making the playoffs is a train wreck in slow motion. 2-It's not news when the team that spends 67% more than the next highest team wins. That is, unless it is in dramatic fashion, and when it is they tend to be in the first segment. 3-The Yankees are most storied and recognizable franchise in MLB history, so expect to see them in player spotlights.
