  1. Absolutely, it was a rhetorical said in jest given the way he has looked this season.
  2. Does 3000 come in the first year of the new contract, or the second?
  3. Beautiful night, about 70 degrees out, slight breeze, cloudless sky, got the game on XM on the back porch.....and I get Sterling/ Waldman. John just about filled his shorts commenting on all HR the Yankees are hitting, think that might have something to do with so many games at home to start the year, John?
  4. Pretty sure he's going on the 3B coach signal. And, philosophically, a pussy would have stayed at 3B.
  5. Nice, and not nice, however, it was good aggressive move, and it took a very good throw to get him, which Escobar delivered.
  6. Hasn't been a strike all game. Awful.
  7. An embarrassing amount of K's against the truffle-shuffle.
  8. Unfortunately, he seems to have no problem showing up to the ballpark on time.
  9. ********, Blue.
  10. He's actually hitting the glove on a lot of those balls on the outside edge. Saltalamacchia needs to recognize that and adjust the target.
  11. Strikes. I reommend throwing those to Jason Eff'ing Nix.
  12. Holy s***, who saw that coming?!?
  13. Does Saltalamacchia pay attention during the game? First, he falls for the Little League double steal. Then, the tubby ginger has started everyone off with a 2-seam meatball over the heart of the plate, which he watches. Nice job making up for it, though.
  14. No command today.
  15. Lester's got the big curve today. If he has FB command too, he might get as many K's as Crawford today. Same spot, same result. That's on you, Jon. He's not calling that.
  16. JFC, two K's for the tubby ginger with that slop.
  17. What an absolute s*** hit.
  18. Apparently the bottom of the zone will be mid-thigh.
  19. Looks to me like he's playing the platoon splits, which works for me. Crawford is a lot better when he's facing a RHP, Lowrie so far has been worse. As long as he's in the lineup against an RHP.....this is his first start against one this year, right?....I'm ok with it. If he starts to hit against RHP too, then the leadoff spot should be his full-time. Right now, I absolutely have him leadoff against LHP.
  20. A graphical representation of Lester's Theorem.... http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/a/af/Lester_theorem.svg/575px-Lester_theorem.svg.png Triangulate a win.
  21. That's a lot of sour milk BS. I lived in Orlando, knew a lot of Rays fans, and went to a good amount of games in Tampa. They loved Crawford. I even had some Rays fans try to argue that because of his speed and defense, he was as valuable a LF as Manny Ramirez when we had him. Let Fuld hit his first slump this season that drags his numbers down to where they have been historically, and we'll see how much they prefer him to Crawford then. In 4 seasons at AAA, he's a .270/.360/.400 hitter with about 6 HR and 35 SB per 600 ABs. Decent if he can reproduce that in the bigs, but nowhere near what Crawford does over a full season.
  22. Absolutely. I think some of the ones that are really pathetic and keep coming back make names in bunches so they can make quick returns.
