  1. The part about him being a bulldog is right and important, IMO. I like that in a pitcher. As much as I give him a hard time about being Nuke LaLoosh, he got the right mental make up to be an ace. He just needs to grow up and learn how to pitch, and I'd love to see Curt teach him the splitter this offseason.
  2. Obviously, I got the connection, how else would my response have been about the right subject? Again, try and keep up. If he gave up a bunch of them at home and to LF, it would have relevance. However, considering the HR is the most celebrated and idolized baseball event with hundreds to thousands of different ways of referencing it, your nickname fell quite short of being witty. If that's the best you can do, that's a shame. I would expect more from someone who trolls as much as you do. Perhaps I overestimated your talents.
  3. Yeah, Marine infantry. If you have the sniper located, you call for fire support and pound him. I did that, but arty wasn't sure that my targeting was correct. I agree about the Riv. Insufferable prick, but he'd own up if he was wrong, and although he had a sharp tongue, he didn't troll.
  4. No s*** sherlock. But, very few of them end up on Landsdowne St., so your nickname isn't very well thought out, and that is why your attempt at wit failed. Try to keep up.
  5. Calling you out? Try calling a spade a spade. You are full of s***. Every one of your "compliments" for the Sox are completely tongue in cheek, and you know it. Unfortunately, you are too chickenshit to admit it. Actually, I take that back. I think you just don't want your fun to end, so you are saying whatever you can stay afloat here. No, I'm no angel. But, I'm not petty like you. I post at Yankee fan sites, but I'm respectful of where I am. I get no kicks out of childish digs at the expense of Yankee fans. I'll make some unflattering remarks about Yankees, but I'll do it here. If that upsets a Yankee fan, well that's what they get for reading a Sox message board.
  6. Maturity being questioned by you? That's rich. Pure irony.
  7. Only 9 of the 32 have been at Fenway. Attempt at wit: DENIED. Looks like your tizzy about only being called an imbecile because you are a Yankee fan was a little misplaced.
  8. They weren't forecasting futures, they were talking about right now.
  9. I'm working in Tampa now -- and in the process of tranferring from UCF to USF. If all goes well and we get the house sold, I might be in Tampa by then. With two rugrats and school, I haven't had the time to make the trip to Ft. Myers from Orlando. It will be easier if I've relocated to Tampa by then. We'll have to get together for a few beers if I'm down that way next spring.
  10. In my view, ignoring it is like condoning it.
  11. Right. And you sure meant it, just like you meant it when you said the 14-11 game showed that "Davis" Ortiz was the clear MVP after the Yankees MVP candidate hit the go-ahead bases-clearing 3-run double. Not only are you a prick that only comes here to bait Sox fans, but you are a cowardly liar who can't fess up to your obvious sarcasm. You are a little, little pathetic person, and a shining example of why people can't stand Yankee fans. Good job keeping the stereotype alive.
  12. The play of the day should have been one of the pitchers, take your pick, walking someone.
  13. 39 runs in 3 games. Brutal.
  14. Hopefully, he learned something from Schilling's work ethic this year. Curt is having an excellent season despite losing a little pop on the FB. Beckett strikes me as a guy who coasted prior to this year on pure talent. Not focused. No plan. I hope this is a wake up call.
  15. Do they still teach and speak English in Canada? Because rsr sodomizes it on a regular basis.
  16. I don't get it. His position seems pretty consistent.
  17. That's one game. They've been squander happy this year, but they are still 2nd in the AL in R/Game. They haven't won a game where they scored less than 6 since July 20 against KC. Other than Schilling and Papelbon (and maybe Wells), this pitching staff sucks. That's 9 out of 12 pitchers that you can't count on.
  18. Over. Call the Medical Examiner, we need a death certificate for the 2006 Boston Red Sox.
  19. Throw. f***ing. Strikes.
  20. The pitching staff is a joke.
  21. Are you kidding me? Posada with a SB? This team is a joke with the running game. No pitchers hold the runner well, and no catcher can throw. Isn't that like the 6th or 7th SB by a catcher?
  22. Unlucky, but I wouldn't expect any thing less at this point.
  23. And, he predictably kills it.
  24. Is there any more disheartening feeling than see Kapler come up during a rally. I love Gabe and his heart for the team, but he puts up some ugly ABs. Prove me wrong, Gabe.
