  1. The Guardians platooned Broussard and Perez regularly. Don't believe it, go through the game logs. That was their regular lineup vs. LHP, and their best one. And, since the trade for Choo, the M's have regularly put Perez into the lineup (HR off Lester, and he played when Wells pitched). The guy mashes LHP, always has.
  2. "DO NOT. SEEK. THE TREASURE." "We thought you was a toad."
  3. The dude who cut his arm off and walked back to civilization, saving himself from exposure, has a seat at the square table. He gets my vote.
  4. I wish it weren't true, but I think we're stuck with another year of Francoma. He came here when Curt came here, and I don't think they want to rock that boat in Curt's last year. After next year though, the guy just needs to go. He's Charlie Brown. Lucy (Timlin, Millar, Krapler) has lined up the ball for him to kick it a million times. And, a million times, she's pulled it away at the last second leaving him ass over elbows, yet he gets none the wiser. The only way to protect this guy from himself is to ship away the crappy players he keeps using because they did something for him 2 years/months ago. A good manager recognizes effectiveness and goes with the hot hand, or away from the cold one. I haven't seen that from Tito. Thanks for 2004. Best of luck. But, good riddance.
  5. Mike Timlin, Stop sucking. Kthnx, bye
  6. WTF? That's just f***ing unbelievable.
  7. Boomer is pitching a hell of a game. He would have 5 zeros up with some competent OF defense behind him.
  8. Hinske doing his part to get Krapler plenty of playing time in the near future. Lovely.
  9. Not only is Meche pitching way over his head, but he's lucky as f*** too.
  10. Burgers and Beers for the Boom. He brought his A-game tonight. Catch the ball, f***wad.
  11. Color me shocked.
  12. Meche will get 15+ K's tonight. This team has just completely lost "it". They had "it" for a while, but "it" is gone, and I don't see "it" coming back.
  13. Meche has been horrible lately. Won't matter. They'll find a way to f*** this opportunity to pick a game up.
  14. This isn't fun. They are getting 3-hit by guys that they'll probably end up picking up off waivers next year when someone in the rotation goes down.
  15. Attrocious decision by Crisp. I'd say trade him this offseason, but he keeps lowering his stock. Ellsbury probably needs one more year, so they might as well give Coco a chance to look good again next year.
  16. They've let this hack of the hook too many times already. Looks like another good start from Beowulf is going to be wasted.
  17. This lineup isn't punchless without Manny, it's love-tap-less. Anyone still think it's a good idea to trade Manny?
  18. Leadoff single in the 8th for Texas. No no-no for Zito.
  19. Seattle announcers just said Zito is hitless through 7. I might have to watch his 8th instead of this lineup.
  20. Woods reminds me of Lester, 2-0 to everyone.
  21. Krapler's usefulness is waning.
  22. That's allowed?
  23. Capellan pitched really well too, I'm surprised he didn't go on to Lowell.
  24. It's also a sport. Also, business owners in other industries can move their business to where revenue is maximized. Baseball owners cannot. They are limited by the contraints of the league, otherwise NY, CHI, and LA would all have 4 or more teams. Revenue sharing seems to be working fine for the owners of the NFL, so it would work for baseball too.
