  1. Let's see, you can't stand Wakefield, and you think the hitting coach is to blame for them having the 3rd highest run scoring offense in all of baseball. Does this remind anyone of another previously banned poster? EDIT: Oh, and I missed the part about blowing a playoff spot. They'll pretty much have to lose 9 straight to do that, all while the Twins or Yankees win out.
  2. Maybe, maybe not. Those that place importance on "being there" are probably the same that will place importance on "being there" at other times in the parenting process. I certainly won't fault anyone who places family above work.
  3. Very surprised they pulled Halladay after only 106 pitches.
  4. You know, Manny was a dick for what he did due his sensitivity to playing in the Boston market, but he really has a point when people are harping on players for missing 2 games for the birth of their child. Bay will be a professional baseball player for about 15 years of his life, he'll be a father for the rest of it. Get some perspective.
  5. They had a chance to run Hans Klopek out of the game after 6, but the bottom three made their outs on 10 pitches. He'll probably be out there for the 7th.
  6. You want them to sign CC and/or Sabathia? Look, I know he weighs enough to be two pitchers, but CC Sabathia is still just one person.
  7. Work took me out of town the last 3 days. I'll also be out of town the first 3 days of next week (autopick draft for me). I've invited msubulldogs to join as our 10th member. Anyone else on this site interested? If not, I'll shut it down at 10 after msu joins.
  8. Gom, you molest collies. Reason: Anyone who thinks fantasy sports is anything other than luck should probably be forced to go out in public with drool cup. You talking smack about it is like bragging because you won the lottery, "I KNEW ping pong ball #53 was going to come up!"

Promising looking rookie, making plays to start the season, how deep on the bench does he end up if this celebration was a bit early?

Romo's good, sometimes, and then sometimes, he's got clownshoe suck going on. Really weird. I maintain he's Favre without the big arm.
  12. I agree. He's adequate. His job right now, as an adequate QB, is to manage the game, not turn the ball over, and to keep them in it so that the other, better, parts of the team can step up and take them to victory. He's done that thus far this season. The Bills certainly are interesting this year. I'd don't follow the NFL offseason as much as I do MLB's, so it usually takes me a couple of weeks to get up to speed on who went where. I found out Stroud went to Buffalo while I was watching the Jags yesterday (I don't particularly like Jacksonville, but it's who I get on the tube). That's a huge pickup, IMO. I thought their victory against Seattle was a combination of Seattle not being that good, and Seattle having a history of travelling East poorly. Turns out their D is legit. I think their matchups against the Pats should make for good, although not exciting, games.
  13. Every Romo to Witten TD is 10 pts for you. A couple of those and yards could do it. I'll be cheering on the Eagles defense (not only for fantasy, but I'm a Skins fan too), and hoping DeSean Jackson gets a lot of looks and touches.

No no no no good, Nedney. OT in Seattle.

Wow, Seattle loses 13 yards on 2nd and 3rd down, having to punt from deep in their own end on 4th and 23. SF gets the ball on the Seattle 49 with a minute and change left, score knotted at 30.

Yeah, I may have spoke too soon about Denver's legitimacy. They look more than capable with the ball, but they can't stop the Chargers today.

So, Denver looks pretty legit. I'm not watching, but I am following online. It appears as if Marshall has gotten under Cromartie's skin. He's torching him and gotten him to commit 30 yds in penalties on top of it.

Fargas got hurt, and DMac has been officially unleashed on the NFL.

Rodgers is going off in Detroit. Is he this good, or is Detroit that bad?
  21. It's head to heat. Scoring is G, Asst, +/-, Penalty Mins, Power Play Pts, SOG for skaters. Then W, GAA, Sv%, Shut Outs for goalies.
  22. Many of the pundits have Missouri winning the Big 12 due to the ease of their schedule. They can put points on the board with the quickness, but that defense leaves something to be desired. I certainly see them in the title game, but Oklahoma looks like a more well rounded team.
  23. Michigan is taking "s***ing all over themselves" to a new level.
  24. Not so sure about that YH. In terms of net points, it's about even, but Gonzalez is a TE. If you put Galloway's production at TE, it gains value. It's like comparing a .300/30/100 season from a 1B vs. a SS.
