  1. And the anal retentive thread police have arrived. I still think the more prudent option is to shut your hole and keep out of it when you don't know the specifics.
  2. Why can't you take the time, or hell at least ask, to find out what that was about? This is a spill over from the Lars Anderson thread. I made a throw away comment about his previous ST predictions given what he posted about Anderson, and was subsequently accused of having a faulty memory. Sorry for defending my memory and making you feel compelled offer your point of little relevance.
  3. My blood sugar's fine, so quit pretending like I'm being irrational. If anything, I'm laughing at this because it's funny watching you tie your own shoe laces together and try and do the cha-cha afterward. You think you put the Lester thing to bed? No, you selectively found your post where you recant some of your original pessimism. You had to, because, well, it was just one or two appearances in ST, certainly not enough make bold claims. Anyway, for the record, here's the money post that had my recollection of your assessment of Lester being quite critical.
  4. Oh, that's fun, do I get to make up hypotheticals too? How about we agree to disagree?
  5. Only because you've watched Wakefield be bad recently. Outside of that annecdotal evidence, the reasons to select one over the other are marginal.
  6. No, they wouldn't do it, but phrased that way you draw a lot of attention to the fact that Sonnanstine has much more future value due to age. The context of your original argument had to do with just the upcoming season.
  7. He was blocked at COF positions? With Trot Nixon on the team? Sorry, that's not true. He played CF primarily because Crisp got hurt and he was capable. Furthermore, CF was his best position. He was atrocious at reading the ball when he played a corner because he could never gauge the spin right and it always f***ed him up.
  8. From yesterday: Link The only people who think he's going to have velocity issues once he's stretched out are people who buy into your rectal library of baseball information. This doesn't even address the fact that Arroyo doesn't beat out Buchholz for the 5th spot on this staff.
  9. What are the scoring categories, the standard triple crown + steals & runs? Then it's easily Hanley. You can get another 30/100/.300/100 ® firstbaseman in much later rounds, but the 3 big SS will be gone by the 10th pick. Those three guys that score in all 5 categories put you at a positional advantage over the rest of the league. If you have a shot at one of them in the 1st round, take it.
  10. Do they not teach free throw fundamentals anymore? Price has nice touch on the ball when he's tossing that floater in the lane up, but he's chucking free throws up like this is a pickup game. That's on the coach, IMO. Free throw fundamentals are simple, and practice should be a track meet until people start doing what they are taught.
  11. UConn needs to get the ball in the hands of Price against this press. Walker is impressively quick and athletic, but he lacks the court sense to make the right decisions against good pressure.
  12. Glad they finally switched to this Kansas/MSU game. It's a treat.
  13. Oh that's too bad, especially after Gom had to remind everyone how awesome he was for getting "a starter with a sub 3.00 ERA" so late in the draft.
  14. This is nuts. It's 19-12 with 15:00 left in the 1st half.
  15. The pace in the UNC - Gonzaga game can't be sustained.
  16. Nonsense, they'll bide time with their internal options because there wasn't much in the CF market.
