  1. You get credit for everyone not on the bench.
  2. The mating call of the modern Yankee fan.
  3. I live in Florida and have been subjected to Joe Magrane as the 2nd guy with Dewayne Staats on Rays broadcasts for the last few years. Unless he speaking about the player perspective of a particular situation, then I'm confident there's little intelligence found in what he's saying. That said, I'll give him a second chance and tune into MLB network from time to time.
  4. Edwin Jackson pitches 7.1 strong innings and comes out of the game with a 3-1 lead. Detroit's 'pen promptly gives up 3 runs. Then, in the 9th, BJ Ryan gives up a leadoff dinger to Inge. Reminds me of the '05 bullpen.
  5. RFK is no longer the home of the Nats. They moved into their new park last year.
  6. Much? Probably. You could argue in favor of either, IMO. However, Masterson is the guy you go to against RH hitters, so that was the right call.
  7. Rays announcers complaining about that called strike. Exactly same location Jed got called out on, but that was a "brilliant" pitch.
  8. Hero in the dark? BS, turn the damn light on so you can find the plate.
  9. Holy f***, cut the s***.
  10. Dead Man Trotting!
  11. Uh, not a strike.
  12. Pena got worked.
  13. What a complete prayer hit.
  14. He is, and Big Gay James is not.
  15. Just got in, Beckett looks moderately acceptable, I'd say.
  16. Jacko, I just gave you the url to a site where you can look it up.
  17. Liriano goes 7 and only gives up 4 hits, but all 4 come home to score (2 dingers - one of which could have been caught by Gomez). das is probably very impressed by their hit /run ratio.
  18. Gameday isn't a radar reading. It's the PitchFX pitch tracker that takes 60 high-speed photos per second during the trajectory of the pitch, measuring velocity, spin, and break relative to an x and y axis. Radar readings can be misleading because it depends on where in the trajectory it is picked up. PitchFX tells you how fast it left the hand and how fast it was going when it got to the plate. A site, brooksbaseball.net, mines data directly from mlb.com and breaks down each pitcher's performance in each game.
  19. It's like UNC is playing with a 36" rim.
  20. I wonder which team wastes their pick on Hansbrough? He just screams "bust" at the next level to me.
  21. No, and you are just a Clement-loving Pedro hater.
  22. Huff and Victor Zambrano-Kazmir also come to mind. Oh, and what about Dewon Brazelton, wasn't that his pre-hype year?
  23. You were high when you drafted him?
  24. Riveting.
