  1. unfortunately, delcarmen is being sent back down to Triple A to make room for Papelbon. Personally Id rather see Remlinger get sent down, Delcarmen is a much better pitcher and can get actual outs for the Sox
  2. again i say not all starters have been bad, wakefield has won his last straight 4 starts and is 3-0 in August a 3-0 record with a 3.32 ERA, 23 Ks, just one walk
  3. lets not forget recently game 1 against the Rangers, tied 8-8 in the 9th inning Schil worked the 9th & 10th giving up just 1 hit and striking out 2, 2nd strike out bein in the 10 with a runner on 3rd and 2 outs. And just before this slide had been perofrming solid as a closer with 9 saves in 10 opportunities with an ERA of 3.00. Yes I very much agree Sox had more chances to open the score little bit more, like how Roberto grounded into double play when it was bases loaded and 1 out, in all 6 men were left on base--Best pitcher of the game was Timlin with his perfect 1-2-3 inning, i give big props as best hitter going to Cora with 3 RBIs including the 2 run jack, moreso because overlooked he is being a backup. Cora in the last 12 games with the Sox has been hitting .313
  4. another interesting thing to note, Sox who are second in majors with best homestand of 38-18 play 24 out of their last 45 games at home. Yankees who have a losing record in away games this season, play 25 out of their last 44 games away from the House that Ruth built.
  5. "wow dude" Yankees had a 10 game winning streak in May and then faltered to a 6 game losing streak, "wow dude" they had a 1/2 game lead for a day in July but fell back on their asses like Kevin Brown and Randy Johnson do after throwing against tampa bay. this is just so far another nice little streak yanks have put together---Besidfes what the f*** ever, sox lose one game and suddenly thats the entire season for them, still seeing for this road trip sox taking last 2 games of detroit series, at least splitting the Angels series, then bar a miracle for the royals the sox will make their second sweep of them this season. coming back to home where they feast best, from a 7-3 road trip
  6. ok then how come the double play in the 10th against Tampa Bay, 1st baseman and 2nd baseman didnt touch the bags, no outs were called
  7. wake has been performing like the ace as of late, his last 4 straight wins have been great to see
  8. I know that my wish list conceives of Sox signing either Paul Konerko or Aubrey Huff to be new 1st baseman, Tony G's contract is extended and is starting 2nd baseman with Pedroia as backup (Mueller/Youk type of deal, let the rookie learn from the veteran)
  9. Monday was a disappointing night for the PawSox. They split a doubleheader with Rochester, winning the opener 8-7 in 8 innings and losing 10-9 in the nightcap. In the opener, Dave Berg nailed a game-winning, 2 run homer to push the PawSox to the extra-inning victory. Luis Figueroa had a pair of hits and 3 rbi, and Shawn Wooten added 2 hits and 2 rbi. Cla Meredith suffered a blown save, but did earn the win to improve to 2-5. In the second game, Dustin Pedroia hit a pair of homers and knocked in 5 runs as the Sox fell to 62-61. Pawtucket erupted for 5 runs in the first and 3 in the third, then hung on for dear life as the 8-0 lead slowly evaporated. Rochester scored 2 in the fifth and three more in the sixth, to pull to within 2. In the seventh, Kevin West crushed a 3 run, game-winning homer off loser Tim Bausher (2-2). The series concludes on Tuesday night at 7:05 at Frontier Field. Lenny DiNardo (6-3) faces Boof Bonser (10-7).
  10. id rather have bronson in the bullpen, on average he throws under 15 pitches of the 1st innings of games this season, feel bad for him he deserved that win working his ass of last nite. And with Wade he averages 25 or more pitches and has allowed a run to cross in 1st inning 16 of the 20 games he has appeared in
  11. ah damn it all to hell, what was speculation that Remlinger would be sent down to Triple A to make room for Papelbon was false. Instead it will be Delcarmen sent back down to Pawtucket. Nope Im not much of a fan of Remlinger so far, once he starts getting "actual" outs, then we'll talk
  12. i can only very much agree with that the yankee fans pretty much had vanished since end of July. now sox lose one game and making it sound like yankees have a 10 game lead. Everybody was expecting Sox to not extend winning streak, but hey Sox can always bounce back with their offense and yes even though Bronson had only lasted 6 innings and gave up 10 hits, it was his 2nd straight quality start giving up only 3 runs and walking no one.
  13. im just updating to let u guys know whats going down in Pawtucket through 13th game of rehab. Yesterday in the first game of a doubleheader, Bell had gone 2 for 4 with 2 Runs scored, a Walk, and 2 Ks. in second game had gone 2 for 5 with a Double, Run scored, and a K overall is now 9 for 54 (.167 avg) 2 Doubles, HR, 5 RBIs, 8 Runs, 4 Walks, 18 Ks
  14. lets calm down people here, its just one game here--not like we just lost our 5th in a row, still up over ny, just gotta take one game at a time
  15. 4 pitch walk, wallace want to talk to him?
  16. f*** triple RBI, curt stop throwing your splitter on 2 strike count!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. just stating a fact which is true, for the month of august he has been the ace
  18. dude calm the hell down
  19. well like in 2004, he was lights out, but as torre does so--he uses the f*** out of gordon and rivera
  20. 3-0 count on gonzalez, gomes stole second
  21. alright schil, now cmon sox offense score 1 extra run at least
