  1. something that the Sox thrive on is that if the offense is behind the starting piitchers will stay in as long as they can for the offense to catchup; as well as if the pitcher is struggling (which hasnt been every game) the offense will pick him up. again you want stats look at Wakefield what he has done for this yeam in August, and is the most consistent pitcher to give long innings of work, like a complete game against new york in July
  2. Apparently it was just that he pulled his hamstring, not sure of the expected back date, hope he gets back soon
  3. from Boston Herlad, reports that Trot Nixon could be back to the Sox as early as the end of next week, same goes for Wade Miller
  4. All teams' fans have booed their own, like take the recent games Mike Remlinger played, booed off the field and very deserving. Yankee fans booing Jeter or Arod when they make an error.
  5. not all the starting pitching has been bad, case in point look at one by the name of Tim Wakefield; August in 3 starts he is 3-0 with a 3.32 ERA, 23 Ks, and just 1 Walk
  6. dude trust me its gonna be nothing but boos away from camdem yards
  7. elsrbruneo, dont worry so much you got like 2 months left of millar anyway with him being a free agent in the offseason---I cant wait for the offseason, man it would be such a big news story if Red Sox are able to land Konerko; another free agent this off season; but i will be just as happy if they acquire Aubrey Huff
  8. rule 5 draft is pretty much null and void once the 2005 season ends
  9. that reception is nothing, wait until palmeiro goes into the baseball fan crazed cities of new york and boston
  10. so steroids helping drive the force behind the bat doesnt mean anything? ok
  11. Wow haha theyre really stupid considering it would be raining throughout whole night, and both teams have games the next day, red sox having to travel to detroit, plus there is the f***ing health and safety of players and fans to consider. Yeah I'm sure theyd have yanks play through this...
  12. are you sure RJ can stay what he used to be like in 2004, bad back will be a persistin problem for most guys his age
  13. Sox would be stupid to just let him go like that--i mean he showed his defense skills like diving for the catch in front of the bullpens, hitting the wall by catching a foul ball, then showed his strong arm almsot having a chance to throw out runner at 2nd after diving for a ball, has great baserunning just needs more experience, can hit as seen in his monster shot againt the white sox last month
  14. ok dude through August of 2004 he was batting just under .300 (35 hits for 125 at bats) with 8 HR's, 23 RBIs, 21 Runs, 12 Walks, 38 Ks--last season he was batting .364 with RISP--with RISP and 2 outs, was batting .412 this season however yes he is in a slump, he is batting .206 (20 hits for 97 at bats) with 4 HRs, 14 RBIs, 10 Runs, 1 SB, 11 Walks, 35 Ks--- with RISP batting only .185---with RISP and 2 outs, batting at .154
  15. ERA's, K's, RBIs, Hits, HR's, etc. everything that happened in yesterday's game will be all wiped off the board as they never happened
  16. he is married, and they had twins in april
  17. plans said could even be after the regular season ends which is on Oct 2 against the Yanks
  18. yeah i was thinking about that, thank god at least it would still be 4.5 game lead over the yanks
  19. hoping for a situation like that, hate to see yankees grab an extra game on us after a loss in 3 1/3 innings
  20. ugh thought it was finally over but guybo has started up again with the renterria bashing ********, but yet at the same time he wants millar to stay simply because he knows how to talk to the media, im just not seeing the logic
  21. they are going to run this out as long as they can until the weather has calmed down
  22. nesn just reported the 610 time is now false, an update after the commercial break
  23. it will start off in the 4th inning, the way it was white sox had men on 1st and 2nd, 1 out, watch that clement is undoubtedly out of the game--gonzo taking over probably
  24. haha anyways, Tony G's old team the Royals just lost their 14th game in a row
