  1. All he could be is a pinch hitter. He plays an eh 1st base. Hamstring really. I love the guy but the era is over
  2. Sometimes the trades you dont make, are the ones that are more fruitful. See Manny Ramirez & Jon Lester to Texas for ARod Pineiro last faced Boston in 2008, in 1 game he had a ND with a 2.57 ERA. This season on the road in 2 games, 1-1 with an 8.71 ERA Lackey this season at home in 3 games, 1-1 with a 6.06 ERA
  3. Last year the only reason why the Sox kept giving Ortiz ABs, was because there was no guys to back him up. Lowell is too good to be kept on the bench as Ortiz kills rallies
  4. Gardner will never hit below .300 in his career, haha thanks for the laugh
  5. Santana last year vs Boston in 2 games, 4.50 ERA. At Fenway Park in 1 game, 3.86 ERA. This season on the road in 3 games, 1-1 with a 2.97 ERA Lester last faced Anaheim in 2008, in 1 game he had a ND with a 7.20 ERA (4 ER in 5 innings). This season at home in 4 games, 1-1 with a 4.46 ERA
  6. Adam Dunn could be available this summer, the Nats are improving but they arent contenders this season. Plus he's a free agent at season's end. But thats only if Sox release Ortiz
  7. As a DH, not a 1st baseman
  8. Ubaldo Jimenez is plain filthy right now, improving to 6-0 last night with a 13 strikeout performance. The NL Cy Young race looks promising this season
  9. Prince Fielder, Adrian Gonzalez and Albert Pujols will be free agents after 2011 season. Im betting they will have one of them on the 2012 roster, Pujols less likely of the three
  10. http://mlb.fanhouse.com/2010/05/03/players-chew-on-potential-tobacco-ban/?icid=main|htmlws-main-n|dl4|link5|http%3A%2F%2Fmlb.fanhouse.com%2F2010%2F05%2F03%2Fplayers-chew-on-potential-tobacco-ban%2F
  11. As much as this season hasnt been the best... the man still brought us 2 red sox championships in the past 6 years. I bet KC would love to get him on board
  12. Saunders last season vs Boston in 2 games, 0-1 with a 4.43 ERA. At Fenway Park in 1 game, 3.46 ERA. This season on the road in 2 games, 1-1 with a 5.25 ERA Buchholz last faced Anaheim in 2008, in 2 games he went 0-2 with a 7.36 ERA. This season at home in 3 games, 1-2 with a 3.68 ERA
  13. Damn dude, thats cold :thumbdown
  14. Heres my fearless prediction. Daniel Bard can only go up from here. If somehow the Sox fall out of contention by trading deadline, they will field offers for Papelbon,... Just about everyone knows he will test the market after '11 season to get the richest deal he can
  15. Tito basically has a rotation in left/center field. Against left handed starters, he will use Bill Hall & Darnell McDonald. Against right handed starters (David Hernandez), Van Every and Hermida Lackey last season at Camden Yards in 1 game, 1-0 with a 1.29 ERA. This season vs Baltimore in 1 game, 1-0 with a 3.86 ERA. On the road in 1 game, 1-0 with a 2.70 ERA Hernandez this season vs Boston in 1 game, 5.40 ERA. At home in 1 game, 0-1 with a 3.00 ERA
  16. Tex in April 2009-- 14 for 70 (.200 avg) (.367 obp) (.371 slg) (.738 ops) 3 Doubles, 3 HRs, 10 RBIs, 11 Runs, 17 Walks, 12 Ks Tex by season's end-- 178 for 609 (.292 avg) (.383 obp) (.565 slg) (.948 ops) 43 Doubles, 3 Triples, 39 HRs, 122 RBIs, 103 Runs, 81 Walks, 114 Ks, 2 SBs
  17. Lets go for 4 in a row, and above .500! http://d.yimg.com/a/p/sp/getty/ff/fullj.42bcaff93b4f6a0ad88a827e95f90b9c/42bcaff93b4f6a0ad88a827e95f90b9c-getty-.jpg John Lackey Vs. http://www3.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Baltimore+Orioles+v+New+York+Yankees+6_iOKDeYm-yl.jpg David Hernandez
  18. No but to say that youll be unhappy if hes in the lineup, thats indicating that you have someone better in mind to be starting
  19. Ok so, lets see, Ellsbury and Cameron are still on the DL . So youd prefer in his place-- Bill Hall, or (your fav guy playing defense) Hermida, or another career minor leaguer Van Every?
