  1. Indy or Denver in their own homes will be a true test. Fingers crossed for next wknd
  2. Willie with now 4.5 sacks. 15.5 sacks in postseason career which is now tops
  3. would that make it 3 sacks now for my man, Willie
  4. and thats asante samuel!!!!!!!!!!!!! 28-3 10-0 Brady !!!!!!!!!!
  5. damn watson i thought he was sure to be tackled before the line
  6. Brady has got to have among the highest percentage of touchdowns on the first drive of the second half
  7. Tom Brady's known to be a beast in the 2nd half, lets see how it unfolds
  8. That... or its moreso because of the Pats "D" they have been delivering before this current drive, which still allowed just a field goal.
  9. Thats true, the front 7 has been playing its best baseball since after the Chiefs game. Factor that with Leftwich is not a mobile quarterback, and he hasnt played since November. So we should be seeing our boys getting at him
  10. until a team proves me wrong... I can never bet against the trio of Brady, Belichick, and Vinatieri in the playoffs
  11. That just irks me about Simms, he makes himself more of a prime target to be sacked. A drop back and pass for him is like 10+ yards each time. Clearly not yet a pocket passer
  12. Im allowed to speak my mind So are you even going to watch the red sox this season? Afterall, you are predicting a failure of a season. If you havent noticed, Im not the one one on here who is feeling still somewhat optimistic for 2006, as well as who are happy for the JT Snow signing. -------------------------------- True Cora hit .200 when he was with the Guardians but with the Sox he had done a better job hitting .265, and was on the web gem plays just about every night, I dont know how many times. other options for SS Miguel Tejada, long shot at best Alex Gonzalez, Cora's a much better hitter--Gonzo bodes a career .291 OBP Julio Lugo, averages 20+ errors a season, and Tampa Bay wants in return prospect Andy Marte--yes lets get this wife beater a part of the Red Sox The concensus is also starting to be around talksox that most of us would be comfortable with Cora as the starting shortstop.
  13. hmm Millar/Mienky combo did a decent job in 2004--Snow will give more offense than Mienky did and will give better defense than he had done in the late innings he was called on for. The Sox FO are doing these moves in Loretta, Lowell, getting rid of Renterria, adding Snow... adding veteran solid D players, a 9 gold glove infield. Alex Cora seems the likely choice to be shortstop, no complaints from me. They got the defense, as it stands still have the 1-2 punch of Ortiz and Manny and others to contribute, now it really lies on the pitching staff's shoulders.
  14. how about if we stop moping around, "theres so many holes", "theres no hope for us", "theres too many question marks". Whatever will happen, will happen. Thats what baseball is, you never know what you're gonna get. Losing optimism and faith is not the way to go. There's what, like 3 months before the season's first pitch is thrown? Its one day at a time here, ok? Not, "why are we even talking about this season?"
  15. I think thats more based on how Lowell does production wise
  16. Youkilis appeared in 72 games in 2004, compiling 7 Hrs and 40 RBIs. Analyst reports I have read, have him at 13-18 Hrs in his debut full season with 70+ RBIs. Mr. Negativity why dont you wait until the season actually starts, to "prove" us wrong? IMO J.T. Snow is the best defensive 1st baseman in baseball currently, which is probably what his role will eventually become for the late innings. If you dont want his glove out there in the late innings, thats the funniest thing ive heard yet
  17. Jeez I wouldve thought more of a common sense decision would be for Koskie to be the everyday 3rd baseman and Glaus to become the DH. Glaus' error prone is brought to Rogers Centre, turf fields are almost an invite for more errors to happen than usual. Plus they took out gold glover Hudson recently... Expect for for our teams playing against the Jays, to get some breaks when they hit a groundball
  18. um yeah but remember this is exactly what happened last offseason with Pedro when Theo was handling it. He and the FO set a price value and amount of seasons they believed Pedro was worth at and didnt budge at their offer. IMO the concensus is that Theo doubted with others that Damon is worth as much or more than the contract he just signed. Just like the Beckett deal, Theo was most likely in contact with the brass for advising and such. If Theo was there or not, Johnny would still have chosen the 4 years/$52 million from NY over 4 years/$40 million from Boston.
  19. With Manny "likely" staying, I just think the opening day shortstop should be Alex Cora. He of course will be solid fielding the ground. That can also have the Sox front office saying bye-bye to Tampa bay asking for our farm inreturn for Lugo. Wouldnt it be great for Marte's 1st career HR happen against the D-Rays? As for center field, I'd still like to see a Clement or Arroyo for Reed swap. A message of gudelines should be sent to Seattle to note that Marte, Lester, Papelbon and Hansen are all of limits. So dont bother asking for them. Murphy and Moss could be contenders during spring training to win the center field job as well. Ive got the faith this year
  20. And Jake Plummer has got the best offensive line in front of him to boot
  21. sure thing here's the rest of the interview he had on Kiss108 http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/extras/extra_bases/2006/01/theo_defends_so.html
  22. ahem, Theo's own thoughts on the "Johnny Damon situation"
  23. Watch for Martinez, he could have a call up this coming season.
