  1. His knees are badly injured, this probably will give speed bumps to his rising career. I do hope he recovers from this. Mchammer, we are all not sick individuals but yes he is an idiot for doing so. Hopefully this will rattle Pennsylvania's dumb ass goverment that riding a motorcycle without a hemlet is not OK. The hell its not, Ive had an uncle die in a motorcycle accident. Guess what... a helmet wouldve saved his life Its not "Steeler hating". Id be saying the same things if Tom Brady had such an accident. Granted, Massachusetts is smart enough to post this law, and the Patriots ban all players from riding them
  2. That is just pitiful to hear
  3. Not likely he'll be back this year
  4. so far its looking like a pitching duel between Curt & Johan. Schil has been Schil this year, and In 7 games (1 start) he has an 0.68 ERA facing Minnesota
  5. Foulke of 05 is back thus far from May on to today place him on DL already
  6. Sorry, but yes I can have an opinion. Like Tavarez he always is shaky in the close games, even the outings he is able to just squeeze out of. Yes scoreless ball helped by Belli's strike 3 call in a game against Tampa, walked the bases loaded in a 5-0 game in the 9th inning. Those 3 runs became all unearned.
  7. Dont DFA Seanez? He's still top of my list to be gone
  8. Foulke continues to struggle, 5 runs in his last 2 appearances. Great move Tito by using the loyalty card and not putting Foulke on the DL, him having a week off while there was an empty space in our bullpen helped us ever so much. I bet youre rethinking that just maybe it wouldve been better to place him on the DL and have someone up from the minors to fill his space Moves Id like to see on Tuesday Timlin up, Pauley down (lets have the kid work on his control) Foulke on DL, Van Buren up
  9. Belli takes a pitch right right down the f***ing middle of the plate Manny, Varitek left sitting on the bench. Tito who knows if this was the last rally your guys could get going!!
  10. Pauley ended the 4th inning with his 4th K of the game, which now temporarily sets a career high for him in a game. Trying to spot out positives
  11. If a loss, at least we avoid a DH sweep and still gain some lead over New York & Toronto
  12. sorry nope. The ace of the staff Curt Schilling has been consistently good the season. Leads AL in wins and top 5 in Ks. Projections have him set for around 20 wins and an ERA of 3.50-3.75 with 200 Ks. 9-2, 3.81 ERA-- 77 Ks, 9 Walks Heck Wakefield has a 4-7 record, but thats just because of inept run support. He's 2nd in Sox starting ERA Anyways, Im sorry i just cant see how Matt Clement has been a dependable pitcher this year ------------------------------- EDIT: One other thing is that I said Clement hasnt been consistently good since before the all-star break of last year. 2006 he ranks as one of the worst AL starting pitchers
  13. Sox lineup sees Manny, Youk, Tek, Gonzalez sitting this one out cf Coco Crisp 2b Mark Loretta dh David Ortiz 3b Mike Lowell rf Trot Nixon 1b J.T. Snow c Doug Mirabelli ss Alex Cora lf Willie Harris
  14. Manny could end up having the game off today, ah his stats against Wasdin just look too good
  15. Props to Trot, who did have another big hit late into the game
  16. my girlfriend kept telling me here comes #18, oh man thought that jinxed us haha Food for thought: Papi had a walkoff HR against the Orioles --June of last year --wearing the red jerseys --3 run walkoff --that game was a rescheduled game from a previous rainout
  17. Harris, Gonzo, Coco expected in 9th inning Now it should be a no-brainer to pinch hit Trot for Willie...
  18. Sox continue to search for a clutch hit First 3 games against Texas 10 Runs on 29 Hits. Thats not including the walks theyve gotten
  19. Id say quite a few RISP- .178 avg RISP/2 outs- .133 avg
  20. Ortiz was a write-in for his first All Star game
  21. umm Tito another game that was obvious not to trot out your starter for another inning
  22. The key word is... if He hasnt had consistent great stuff since before the all-star break, and dont bring up Tampa Bay becauyse he had 3 bad starts before that outing
  23. True because some team might see him as a potential starting outfielder. We're all set here, that he would just be a reserve on the bench.
  24. Sox make Millwood work in the 1st inning by making him throw 7 pitches
