  1. with this team today, he can still pitch a no-hitter and the sox would still find a way to lose
  2. what the hell, papa jack needs to hold another "gun to the temple" meeting about the offense
  3. 2 of those runs were earned. Anyways, like his past performances, he'll battle back and give a solid 7, 8, maybe even 9 inning effort ******** loss, yes it would be if score remains. Heres some info, the 7 losses Wakefield has had this season... The Sox have scored 2 runs or less in each of them for him
  4. sorry wake, its looking like your 8th ******** loss of the season. No doubt your team will avoid eye contact after the game
  5. haha thanks, do what i can ---------------------------------------- About the trade Ok so we got Mirabelli to cut down on the passed balls, and a better bat than Josh Bard.
  6. I believe they are now 5-17 at the Metrodome since 2001
  7. Javier Lopez is a relief pitcher who has appeared with Colorado & Arizona. For the White Sox, he's just pitched in their Triple A system. You have your names mixed up
  8. Riske was starting to turn things around, I wish him the best of luck in Chicago. Granted, wouldve liked it better if it was Tavarez. Javier Lopez has one stat that stands out, he's a left-hander reliever that can get those tough outs. Theo fixing a need right there boston.com
  9. Ok lets try & at least avoid a sweep. Wakefield, with his ******** 4-7 record, will look to salvage this series. Stat wise he has been the 2nd best starter of the year. He's been racking up quality starts, 2nd in ERA at 3.93 and innings pitched with 87. However as we know, Sox bats are left in the dugout when he pitches. A struggling Carlos Silva is on the mound... will the Sox take advantange? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tim Wakefield http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/us/sp/v/mlb/players/2006_1/4906.jpg 4-7, 3.93 ERA Carlos Silva http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/us/sp/v/mlb/players/2006_1/6880.jpg 2-8, 7.73 ERA
  10. per WEEI Actually this season, he's making 9.5 million. Thats money you give to an ace
  11. The defense behind him kept the team in the game. Him going just 4.2 innings made the Sox yet again go the bullpen earlier than the Sox had wanted
  12. Including tonights game the Sox have scored 50 runs in the first 12 games of June, an average of just 4 runs a game. 5 of the 12 have seen the sox score 3 or less runs
  13. Clement's record is about to look like this: 5-5, 6.61 ERA-- 43 Ks, 38 Walks in 65.1 innings pitched (12 starts)
  14. 4 pitch walk, way to keep the momentum Manny
  15. say goodbye to 1st place, for now anyway I guess ok maybe 1 out of 3 we can only hope for
  16. just not Van Buren's night. He'll bounce back, didnt help matters much that once again Clement has forced the bullpen to eat up extra innings
  17. He's channeling the days of Jeff Suppan. Long story short, hes not all that great 2nd straight start Tek has called to the dugout to get him out of there. A DL stint is coming
  18. meatball over plate to kubel for 2-run HR meatball over plate to castillo for RBIU double he also walked the bases loaded with 1 out, but double play saved his ass great defense again with runners on 2nd & 3rd with 1 out
  19. 4 Walks for Clement tonight. Its stomach curning to watch him pitch every time out
  20. DoorMatt factoid He has not gone 7 innings since Apri 18th vs Tampa Bay, the longest such drought in the American League
  21. decent 5th starter my ass Clement Im looking forward very much so to the headline: Clement Gone!!
  22. Tonight is Papi's 500th game as a Red Sox  He's got the mojo to send 1, maybe 2 balls deep
