  1. Kap with a friggin web gem Still Tavarez makes it a closer game
  2. Tito last time I checked, Timlin should be rested up
  3. Is he about to put Tavarez in a clutch situation?? 2 men on w/2 outs, tying run at home plate
  4. Lou Piniella's baseball knowledge On Beckett's 17 Hrs "Well you know that Fenway Park is a hitter's haven" Well yes that is true, but Beckett's troubles have happened on the road dumbass ------------------------------ ------------------------------ Cmon Schil work with this kid. Ive seen 99.99999% heat. He does have other pitches, right?
  5. 3 RBIs in 2 interleague games and that is why Beckett shouldnt get the bunt signal!!!
  6. That was Youk's 3rd leadoff HR this season. His prior came against Tampa Bay & Baltimore, both at Fenway Park
  7. With John Smoltz pitching tomorrow, Ortiz should get today off instead. The Sox offense should do more than enough against the scrub whos pitching today. Beckett might have a losing record against Atlanta... but check out his ERA
  8. Former Sox David Riske had his White Sox debut last night, pitching a scoreless inning with 2 Ks
  9. It might be a crapshoot, or even a favor, but still the Sox saw something in him to use a pick on him. Last season he had visited at Fenway where our Paps introduced him to the submariner Chad Bradford. In which he was given advice during that encounter. If healthy and steadily brought up, he could be a decent reliever or a solid righty specialist like Chad was for Boston. Josh Papelbon #19 RHP http://www.lowellspinners.com/images2/JoshPapelbon.jpg Born: 6/24/83 Resides: Jacksonville, FL Height: 6-1 Weight: 210 Bats: Right Throws: Right School: University of North Florida Obtained: 48th round draft choice in the 2006 draft Spinners Debut: 2006 UNF 2006 season, 29 appearances (41.1 innings)- 4-3 record & 8 saves, 2.81 ERA 40 ks (8.64/9 innings) and held righties to just a .214 avg
  10. Lowell showing off that 2006 gold glove!!! Papelbon gets his major league leading 21st save Varitek is heating up and had that very key 3-run double Timlins back and shows us what we have missed But, most importantly... Lester's 1st career win
  11. Dont look now but Varitek has brought his avg up to 262. The 4th 3-hit game in his last 10 games This month he is 14 for 41 (.336 avg) 2 Doubles, 2 HRs, 8 RBIs
  12. Lester is a worthy bet for his next start. Game 3 vs Nationals at Fenway Park
  13. Lester has thrown 93 pitches through his first 6, an imrpovement over his first outing. He's shown me a lot of moxie and I think he's here to stay unless something unexpected happens 6 innings, 5 Hits, 1 Run, 3 Walks, 5 Ks
  14. Clement would have to be unloaded, im gonna be shocked & sick if he doesnt for 2007. Also I believe this could be Wake's last year in the rotation. He's likely to find himself a spot in the bullpen A rotation of ? Curt Schilling Josh Beckett Mark Mulder Jonathan Papelbon Jon Lester ... Damn
  15. His 2 seamer is just nasty to left-handers
  16. I got no judgement against getting these players: Coco Crisp, Josh Beckett (he'll adjust to the AL), Mike Lowell, Alex Gonzalez, Mark Loretta, Wily Mo Pena (next year will be when the past trade can fully be looked at) Why? list Rudy Seanez (maybe he has gotten better but I cringe with him in tight situations), Julian Tavarez, J.T. Snow
  17. Gabe Kapler now becomes the best bat out of the bench players. He's also always solid on defense. Willie Harris' role should diminish to one thing, pinch running. Anyways, his time up here is coming to and end ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here's Kyle Snyder's career stats... http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/players/7122/career;_ylt=Ap90ZcOvG5SVBsuUXjfxw3GFCLcF
  18. Kevin Youkilis & Alex Gonzalez have the day off. Red Sox 1. Coco Crisp, CF 2. Mark Loretta, 2B 3. David Ortiz, 1B 4. Manny Ramirez, LF 5. Trot Nixon, RF 6. Jason Varitek, C 7. Mike Lowell, 3B 8. Alex Cora, SS 9. Jon Lester, SP Braves 1. Marcus Giles, 2B 2. Edgar Renteria, SS 3. Chipper Jones, 3B 4. Andruw Jones, CF 5. Jeff Francoeur, RF 6. Matt Diaz, LF 7. Brian Jordan, 1B 8. Todd Pratt, C 9. Tim Hudson, SP
  19. Clement has been placed on the DL!!!!!!!! Our boy Gabe Kapler is back with the Sox to take his place I didnt even have a speech prepared http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/extras/extra_bases/
  20. Quite the role model citizens the D-Rays top prospects are, huh? http://www.newsobserver.com/122/story/451405.html
  21. From what I gather... Lowell will have Friday off, Ortiz will have Saturday off, and Youk will have Sunday off
  22. Wakefield with 2 men on, no outs. Mind you he has been pitching with a bad back Tavarez warming... mailing it in. Im gonna get going to bed
  23. Manny, 1st pitch groundouts in your 3 ABs. Advice, maybe you should stop doing that god, bad karma all around... 4th straight loss, here we come if nothing happens until then
