  1. These are the times that tavarez scares me and makes me wish for better options
  2. To his credit Jacko... Tavarez has looked good against your Yankees before this start, the Twins, and his best start of this season which came against Detroit
  3. Lugo and Drew are helping Mussina avoid a short outing
  4. Todays is Julian Tavarez's 34th birthday Julian Tavarez this season vs New York in 2 games, 2-0 with a 4.41 ERA. On the road in 4 games, 2-2 with a 4.85 ERA Mike Mussina this season at home in 3 games, 1-2 with an 8.33 ERA
  5. As I saw in rotoworld, maybe the Sox could swap Youk & Drew in the batting order. Drew always takes a good deal of pitches and might find some good pitches to hit while hitting in front of Ortiz/Manny. Youk is off to a hot start and (like last year) is one of the best hitters with RISP. Especially RISP/2 outs!! Why not have him hitting 5th behind Manny? Pedroia, if actually given consistent playing time, will settle into a good player for the Sox. His defense is already one of the game's best for this year as a 2nd baseman
  6. Its all downhill from here for Boston as Yankee fans will start saying now EDIT: Anyone else unaffected when Mo was shown warming up in the pen?
  7. Uhh MDC its not the right time for retaliation
  8. Lugo with a weak grounder up the middle, Proctor will probably do the 9th as well. Id be shocked if Proctor is able to pitch into his mid-late thirties Im not ready to write off Lugo and burn down Theo's house because of his signing. He has had some great games for the Sox, lest we forget so quickly the walkoff win against the Orioles
  9. The Proctologist in for his 40th game this year EDIT: Hahaha Proctor hits Cora with the first f***ing pitch
  10. Thanks Romero, lets make this a 10 run deficit if possible
  11. Hinske's #s against Wang seem even larger as Lowell goes 0 for 3 with 2 Ks
  12. Let me guess, Jacko assures of a sweep and the Sox will begin to spiral downward, Yankees take over lead in late July if not sooner
  13. 4-0, its not Wakes night at all
  14. Still not sure why Torre played Mineky at 1st instead of Phelps
  15. Uh oh hope we arent about to start seeing one of Wake's bad stretches Since Detroit he has given up 8 runs on 12 Hits (4 HRs) in 8.1 innings
  16. Ok so I can make note that youre banking on the Sox not being able do anything the rest of the game?
  17. Hey Sox... just a little memo, Wang isnt a strikeout pitcher!! Youk swinging at what wouldve been a bases loaded walk
  18. Well duh of course I dont think this season is already over. Ive said many a times that Im dreading one of the Yankees' hot summer runs
  19. http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/news/article_perspectives.jsp?ymd=20070520&content_id=1976434&vkey=perspectives&fext=.jsp Good article about how this year it seems the "tables have been turned" in this rivalry
