  1. no doubt, i was referring to retaliation of their own (in their own way). Schilling pitching like an ace, Youk having BP against Yankees pitching, etc.
  2. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/cs-070601louvideo,1,4736140.htmlstory?coll=cs-home-headlines You know things are going bad when the expected ace (although he has sucked this year) and starting catcher fight with one another about a passed ball. There was a brief fight in the dugout, it later turned into something bigger in teh clubhouse. Discipline will be held out to both players naturally. Barrett was sent to the hospital for a split lip... seeing how big of a guy Zambrano is, Id wager it was something more serious than that. Both are free agents at the end of the season
  3. Lowell might be ok to play, Drew is pretty much out of this series. Nieves is all but said to be Mussina's personal catcher. Schilling breathes a sigh of relief as he wont have to face Posada's bat and sick numbers. Mussina this season vs Boston in 2 games, 0-1 with a 9.64 ERA. On the road in 4 games, 1-1 with a 5.79 ERA Schilling this season vs New York in 3 games, 0-1 with a 7.00 ERA. At home in 7 games, 2-0 with a 3.59 ERA
  4. Yanks today will have to face a team out for some retaliation of their own. Youk & Schill... lets even the score! http://us.news2.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/ap/20070602/capt.17e4222e75a14b13a3feda06f710e3a6.yankees_red_sox_baseball_maea111.jpg Game Info: Date: Saturday, June 2, 2007 Teams: New York Yankees (23-29) @ Boston Red Sox (36-17) First Pitch: 3:55pm EDT Venue: Fenway Park, Boston, Massachusetts TV: FOX Starting Pitchers: http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_119608.jpghttp://bellsouthpwp.net/c/h/chinigor/TALKSOX/VS.GIFhttp://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_121811.jpg
  5. How would one of the 2 players stay when Drew gets back? And Im not sure about having Coco's arm in right field. His best asset this season has been his gold glove defense. Odds are that the Sox will not want to rush Ellsbury and instead promote Moss. If that were to happen, it still wouldnt rule out Ellsbury being called up Regardless, of course Ellsbury has the brightest future with the Red Sox. Moss is likely to be dealt within the next year, most likely for relief help. What better way to showcase him before the trading deadline?
  6. Even with the loss, Im feeling pumped about the next 2 games. Sox have their best 2 starters coming up and have momentum after what happened with the Proctologist. Lets see what I can do for tomorrows game day thread
  7. f*** I thought that was gone Suck on it Proctor, Youk comes around to score EDIT: 9-5 2 outs, Wily Mo picks up his 7th RBI of the season. Time for Hinske
  8. Haha Mattingly is getting scared Mariano to face Manny
  9. Way to go Yanks, wake up the sleeping giant to face you tomorrow Proctor ejected again, f***er throwing at Youks head
  10. Lugo wants to go home, casually looks at strike 3 sown the heart of the plate
  11. So 5.84 ERA Mussina will shutout the Sox while Pettitte (your best pitcher) does a worse job than Moose? I assume that you are feeling good about this season now after tonights pending Sox loss Meanwhile Proctor continues on pace for 2 straight seasons of 100+ innings
  12. The bullpen has easily settled down tonights "all OBP, no big hits" offense. Jacko and the Yanks are now feeling better about this season. Wager 2 out of 3 or a sweep?
  13. Another DP... followed by another 1 pitch out to end an inning So tomorrow is Schilling vs Mussina. Hopefully we dont get the rocky Schilling, and an offense that can actually take advantage of runners on base
  14. The Yankees are doing subs? Usually they dont show any respect to the opposing team and keep their 1-9 in for the whole game
  15. The longest Ortiz has had a homerless drought this long, was back when he was a Twin still trying to find his swing Im surprised Jacko isnt parading through the game threads about the Yanks beating down the Sox, or even Gom EDIT: Drew has left with a strained hamstring. This is obviously something he's been dealing with since mid-April. Sox might as well play it safe and DL him
  16. Wang 74 pitches in the first 3 innings, and he is still in the game. f***ing pathetic At least Sox fans have something to cheer about tonight, Yooouk 23 games
  17. sox offense continue to throw it away, that ball wasnt hit hard at all and Lugo was still out
  18. Mirabelli you are a lucky f***er... Posada you arent
  19. Yep the Sox never see any bad calls come their way Its not like this is a close game. You guys are up 9-3 and have the bases loaded again EDIT: "Tick Tock" almost gives up a grand slam
  20. Its time for JC BP! BP! Matsui up, lefties are hitting .360 off of Romero
  21. there you go jacko, damon walked on what shouldve been strike 3
  22. Never fear guys... soon to be DFA'd JC Romero is warming up
