  1. Argh! The more I think about he pitched for the Sox early last year as the 5th starter ( course this year he's been good for Oakland)... the more I just want to see the Sox beat him into submission Matsuzaka this season on the road in 5 games, 4-1 with a 3.77 ERA DiNardo this season at home in 9 games, 1-2 with a 1.96 ERA
  2. This is where some sports players just really get me ticked off. "Oh me oh my how the f*** can I survive on $8 million for 1 year?? That to me is an insult. Fine if you wont pay me more money... I'll just sit out for as long as I can, which will cost me money but at least Im making a statement" Randy Moss, one who is known by the media and some fans as a jerk... took a f***ing $7 million pay cut just to be a Patriot. Shut and play the game, if not have fun trying to make a statement as the Pats cruise on their way to the playoffs
  3. Glad I slept through this one last night, thank you god for this sore throat. I was reading through the box score and saw "Ortiz doubled to center, Pedroia out at home". Naturally I checked the playon mlb.com... all I can say is wow. He was out before he was halfway to home. Kotsay relayed the ball quickly (always known for one hell of an arm) and Pedroia really isnt that light on his feet. Hale was the bum of the game
  4. Tito suggests we probably wont see a game on this 7 game road trip that features the regular lineup together
  5. He wouldve gone in the 1st or 2nd round but teams balked at his salary bonus demands
  6. Sox getting Lars Anderson in the 18th round is looking like a steal thus far
  7. I have no idea maybe one of Tito's loopy days where he throws a bum lineup at an ace starter. Ive edited the lineups officially, go check it out
  8. Um guys... checkout the lineup I'll be editing in the matchups. Pedroia is leading off but Lugo, Varitek and Lowell are all getting the day off vs Haren
  9. http://us.news2.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/ap/20070604/capt.6e7411352b944da2908b04e746a53cc6.yankees_red_sox_baseball_mawt111.jpg http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/extras/extra_bases/2007/06/pedroia_honored.html Ahem... Pedroia has been named the AL Rookie of the Month for May and was also the AL player of the week. The first 2 months for AL Rookie of the Month has gone to Red Sox (Okajima, Pedroia)
  10. Yep its going to be one of the worst drafts in recent history for the Sox Again yea it does suck, but it doesnt squash any chance the Sox have of nabbing some good young players.
  11. Raven... maybe you didnt notice before but the Sox were able to get Lester at #57, Pedroia was 65th overall, Papelbon the all-star closer was selected in the 4th round. Yea it sucks we dont have any higher picks... but solid players can be had after the 1st round. Cmon Albert Pujols was taken by the Cardinals in the 13th round
  12. torn scar tissue is nothing to a 45 year old who has had leg/groin problems in the recent past?
  13. Its also at Yankee Stadium God get ready for those curtain calls for the $28 million man, pitching good against those pesky Pirates per roto
  14. I think youre crossed up, Jairo Garcia is now Santiago Casilla Besides that, Id rather have him in the bullpen than Pineiro or Romero. God even their names rhyme
  15. Oh god, the return of the Dodger fans, anyone have advil? I feel some migraines coming on soon enough
  16. Haren at home in 7 games, 4-0 with a 1.80 ERA. Tavarez on the road in 7 games, 2-2 with a 5.09 ERA
  17. Lester! boston.com/sports
  18. Yes his swing has changed. From when he was first called up thru April he was pressing too hard with that homerun slugger type swing (no doubt trying to impress and first time jitters). After spending time with hitting coach Magadan, he has calmed down on it and is just going with the pitch. Ever since college he's been a solid gap drive hitter. He should probably have 30-40 doubles by season's end
  19. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2007/06/04/SPG5AQ6AV21.DTL Jay Witasick who had a 3.60 ERA this year with the A's (2.25 ERA in May) asked to be released. Might Theo try to swoop him up to try him out in the ever-revolving 7th inning setup role?
  20. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news;_ylt=AnSJVGi1THnhZYKnFvmPbPg8R9MF?slug=styankeesclemens&prov=st&type=lgns Au Contraire (spelling?), it is not yet determined Roger will return on Saturday against the Pirates. He is having an MRI done today, from there they will announce when his next start might be
  21. Im still behind Lugo because Ive seen the seasons he's been capable of having when he was with the Devil Rays 03-1st half of 06. He has too much talent to be batting in the .220s. Tho it takes Tito a long time to move a player in the lineup, maybe it would be best to push Lugo down to 9th spot. A pitcher opening the game against Youkilis, Pedroia, Ortiz wll more times than naught have to throw a lot of pitches that first inning
  22. Jacko, as Ive said before because Ive tracked his progress... the only really cold streaks for him have been when the season first starts and each time he's gotten to the next level of his pro-career. Sure there'll be spurts as all major leaguers do have, but as the season is going and weather is warming up, dont expect them to last long
