  1. Roger like in the NL Central last year can only give 5 or 6 innings (maybe occasional 7) while pitching in the AL East. Christ, he hasnt pitched for the Yankees yet and he's hurt. Instead of giving it 2 weeks he's going to push those tired legs to just a 5 day return.
  2. Look at it this way Yankee fans, lets say Damon makes a decent transition to 1st base... voila that gives you an opening to enter the big FA year for center fielders
  3. Course I mean take 2 out 4, I didnt get home until 230. So bear with me About the 9th inning, even Yankee fans around me were screaming at Mo for hitting Youkilis "Damn it Mo, dont give these guys extra ABs"
  4. Yankee fans having faith in Clemens being a solid starter in the AL East is like a trusty but old rickety bridge. Sure its done you good in the past, and youve tried to put money in it, but odds are that it'll come crashing down We still didnt get swept and that was big, instead of 12.5 the Sox could right now be looking at 10.5 as they go on a west coast road trip. This team is still a good team regardless of the Yankees beating them last night. Beckett turned in a solid start (while again Tito kept playing the leave him in there too long card), Pedroia... yea thats all i have to say now It was a crummy game in the end, believe me I was there throughout. Coming up is a 4 game series against Oakalnd, all I ask is at least take 2 out of 4
  5. Hitting .350 at June 2nd, then ending the season at .260 that to me is a collapse
  6. All I said was that I dont see him being able to finish the year with an ERA under 4. That doesnt go on to suggest I think he'll collapse.
  7. Really Schilling has finished with seasons having ERAs under 4? You dont say I still dont get your knock on Youkilis, he is a good player. So the wager is that from now through September he'll go into a long slump to end up with a .260 avg? Duh I dont think he'll end up with a .350 avg, but I dont see him doing a drastic nosedive
  8. Im not convinced so far that he can finish this year with an ERA under 4
  9. rotoworld Snowball effect for this team that spent $300 million in the offseason. Someday the Cubs fans' years of agony will be over
  10. Thats no fun, I always loved seeing everyone move up a base when there was a sac fly hit to Damon
  11. Pettitte this season vs Boston in 4 games, 1-1 with a 3.79 ERA. On the road in 8 games, 1-3 with a 2.06 ERA Beckett this season vs New York in 1 game, 1-0 with a 5.40 ERA. At home in 6 games, 5-0 with a 3.11 ERA
  12. Im making this early because I have a long day ahead, including getting last minute tickest to tonights game Bleacher seats but hopefully I'll get to heckle Proctor if Im able to see him. Ortiz has gone 69 ABs (almost a month) since his last HR... facing Pettitte and the Yankees, Id say this is a good time as any to break the streak. http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/sp/getty/99/fullj.getty-73395420eg013_new_york_yank_6_05_28_pm.jpg Game Info: Date: Sunday, June 3, 2007 Teams: New York Yankees (23-30) @ Boston Red Sox (37-17) First Pitch: 8:05 pm EDT Venue: Fenway Park, Boston, Massachusetts TV: ESPN Starting Pitchers: http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_120485.jpghttp://bellsouthpwp.net/c/h/chinigor/TALKSOX/VS.GIFhttp://boston.redsox.mlb.com/images/players/mugshot/ph_277417.jpg
  13. As I said before... unlike you, I dont want to see guys put into comas or careers ended. Im all for brushback pitches, but this f***ed up s*** of testing out helmets... the f*** I have any respect for you
  14. Lets see elbow to the chest... 95 mph fastball to the side of the head... yep that evens out. Maybe someday youll get to see that happen to a sox player again
  15. Jeez Jacko you are one sick f***. I bet youd be jump;ing up and down on your couch celebrating as Lowell lay on his back on home plate... just dazed, eyes rolling back to his head, unresponsive. The difference between you and me is that if I saw Arod got hit in the head in a secnario like that, Id be hoping to god that he was ok. Im not a monster By the way... before with Arod plays, you said you are ok with them because it helped you win the game? Nick backtracking, f***er.
  16. Damn Im always for retaliation if its warranted... but youre actually going to the length you want a guy to be given the "Tony C" treatment?
  17. Proctor is the loser, now that is what I call fitting And Im losing my voice after this long game haha
  18. Lowell is f***ing god Paps is all set to come in for the 9th even if the Sox do have a commanding lead
  19. f***ers, pitching around him for the 2nd straight time
