    1 inning left to go from being just 1.5 games ahead, I just dont get this team. They have the talent but the heart at times is not willing to show it on the field

    Burnett was 1 out away to a complete game until he was pulled for Scott Downs to get the 1 out save. Up until this inning the Sox bats got Litsch's pitch count to 72 pitches in 6 innings, swinging early & often (been the case since Sunday). That was an average of just 12 pitches per inning. As I speak, theyve regained their ability to actually take pitches and make a pitcher work for his money. Lets see if they can come through with the big hit EDIT: Just sad. Lugo lolly gagged like it was a pop up. He wouldve been safe at 1st had he been running out of the gate, more importantly it wouldve at least tied the game

    Yeaaaa a setback, its called bailing out. Here's to a new left fielder in 2008 Im done with the "Manny being Manny" s***. Arod is making more money than him, at least he shows up every game whether he's hurt or not. IMO once Manny goes, Tito goes with him. One of the main reasons behind the hiring of Francona is that he is a well known players manager, henc that is what was needed with Manny antics aplenty. The Sox need a Jim Leyland type, taking no s*** from anybody

    Ship Manny out or just planly buy out his contract for the 2008 season. Last year i let it slide that he ditched on the Sox for the last 6 weeks, because that team was going nowhere even with him in the lineup. Now to not step in with your team in a tightening pennant race is just wrong. Thats when the true gamers come out. "Yea Im hurt but Im in it to help my team win games down the strech." Free agent left fielders to be will be Adam Dunn (if Reds dont activate 08 option) and Kosuke Fukodome
