  1. Ordinarily I'm not a big fan of asking someone who never lays down a bunt to lay down a bunt but Tek did very well on that one.
  2. Let's get us some insurance.
  3. I noticed him limping around first on his base hit. Was kind of hoping it'd factor in somewhere... and it did.
  4. Youk's recovery on that play was insanely fast.
  5. Ya know, I'm too happy knowing there's temporary relief from Frank Caliendo to care who sings us back from the break...
  6.:lol: "They drew first blood!!!!!" "Is that... is that Rambo?" edit: By the way, I'm being Greenman for halloween.
  7. Agreed... "Because I cut the brakes! Wildcard, bitches!"
  8. Well, that was pleasant. Hopefully we can take advantage of their error.
  9. Jason mother f***ing Bay!!!! That's how we do.
  10. Fantastic. First pitch popout.
  11. A.) That's irrelevant. B.) That is too. C.) Also irrelevant. Time spent atop the division or similarity of statistics are not used as tiebreakers in any sport, and never ever have been. Meanwhile, head to head record is used as a tiebreaker in most all sports, including baseball. The argument doesn't go both ways. They won 10 games against the White Sox and only lost 8, yet they have to travel to Chicago for a deciding playoff game? Why should it be decided by chance when they earned the right to host that game and the MLB has a system that perfectly adequate to decide some things, but not others? And the Cubs argument doesn't work either because the two teams don't play even remotely similar schedules -- and it's especially not valid because the two teams didn't play eachother, which is what I'm arguing. Considering how the two teams have played on the road against one another, the AL Central was practically decided by a coin toss. If I were the Minnesota Twins, I'd do as the Jacksonville Jaguars did in this Onion news report...
  12. I think it's pretty ridiculous that this game is being played in Chicago considering the Twins won the season series. Stupid rule.
  13. Not going to beat anybody with four turnovers. Defense actually played decent for the majority of the game, but when they needed a stop, they couldn't get it. Aside from Praeter being a somewhat decent kicker (30 yard shank today aside), the Broncos have to have, by far, the worst special teams in the league. Just getting the ball back to the 20 on a kickoff is a great return for Denver, and it's been that way for years, unfortunately. Meanwhile, on the other side of things, you just hold your breath and hope the other team doesn't break one, which happens a lot more often than it should. Broncos had chances to pull away early, but the Marshall fumble went from driving to take a potential 14-6 lead to trailing 13-7. Broncos are lucky they have an easy schedule, because that's the only reason they may potentially make the playoffs.
  14. We may have a great comeback in the making... 31-17 after a punt return TD...
  15. Georgia really is attending their own funeral... 31-3 'Bama.
  16. But USC loses an early conference game every year and they're still in the discussion until they lose their second one late. They won't fall that far back, and they'll slowly creep up as the teams ahead of them get knocked off one by one. What if Ohio State wins the Big Ten, West Virginia wins the Big East, and a two loss team wins the SEC? All of those entirely possible... Huge turn of events just a bit ago in the Indiana/MSU game. 97 yard TD negated by a holding call in the endzone, which is a safety. Ole Miss up 24-17 over Florida.
  17. But it's late losses that kill you, no matter the foe. And as long as USC only loses one game and still wins the Pac 10, they're not going to get beat out by a team that didn't win it's conference. It's possible the SEC winner will have two losses again.
  18. Eh, I still think USC will play in the National Championship game this year.
