  1. Very cool, didn't get to see him play at all, but sounds like he deserved it.
  2. yep, just signed him. Who knows, I'd much prefer Earl Watson. Good defensive player too, while Boykins is a liability
  3. ... and turned down Redd for Nene when it was obvious that we needed a shooter. I certainly don't like him. There's been a few small things I've liked, like picking up Najera, but I think Karl influenced that a lot. I also liked the signing of Watson (obviously), but if they trade him, that's all nullified.
  4. I know, lol, but Watson's my favorite! (Melo excluded, because he's the obvious favorite)
  5. Nuggets are still trying to trade Earl Watson. I'll say this, if they trade Earl Watson, I won't watch another Nuggets game until Kiki is no longer the GM. I'm sick of these idiotic decisions. I'll check the box score only to see how 'Melo did.
  6. I wouldn't be too worried. From what I've read, John David Booty has more talent than Leinart -- not sure how true that is, though -- but I know the kid can play. If Lendale White returns, should be looking towards a 4-peat. Quick question, though. Is Jeff Byers starting for them at Center? I got to watch him play some in High School (Football and Basketball, actually)
  7. True, but Domanick Davis could play the role of Emmitt as well. And the Cowboys had the best offensive line in the league at the time. I'd be all for them drafting Reggie Bush if they didn't already have a young, more than capable RB already, especially when there's a player they can get at a position they desperately need, like D'Brickshaw Ferguson.
  8. You need a good Offensive Line too. The Texans have too many holes to make replacing a very competent RB with what is essentially a question mark a good decision.
  9. Impressive, but not so much in comparison to "The tape" (Reggie Bush's HS film), which had my jaw dropped. He looks like he'll be a hell of a player. I assume he's going to Miami? **edit: Where's this kid currently play at?
  10. Fine examples, but do you think guys like Thomas compare to guys who are relatively undersized and fast as hell such as Cato June or Ian Gold? There's more in the league than there was 7 years ago, that's for sure. Derrick Thomas had over 20 pounds on both those guys I mentioned. If it was so easy in todays NFL, why is Dante Hall limited to around 40 offensive touches per season? Even a lot of people that are high on Reggie Bush don't think he's capable of being a feature back.
  11. Even then, certain positions are still faster today. Positions have been revolutionized in that time -- Tight End and LB are among them as the more athletic guys are starting to take over the positions. There's a big difference between having no O-Line in the NFL, and having the best O-Line in the Nation in a conference in which defense is consistently non-existant. The Texans have far more important issues to deal with or else they'll be drafting in the top 5 for the next 3 years, looking to improve their O-Line. Football games are won in the trenches -- that's common knowledge.
  12. He's a WR prospect that has committed to ND is all I know of him.
  13. Yep. The gameplan was bad, and the talent just wasn't there on the Defensive Line. Oh well, I believe Notre Dame has the 4th best recruiting class so far. The future looks bright.
  14. The Notre Dame defense has been pathetic. It's pretty much over, now. Horrible defensive gameplan -- absolutely awful.
  15. BLITZ, Notre Dame!!!! Jesus Christ! Send someone other than your pathetic D-Line!
  16. Are the Notre Dame coaches completely unaware that their Defensive Line sucks and if they don't blitz they get absolutely no pressure? Saved by a fumble.
  17. Ugh... this only means one thing, to me.. Gary Kubiak probably won't be the Broncos Offensive Coordinator. Some team will be very luck to have him!
  18. Davis has been a good player without an O-Line too -- he could be one of the best in the league if he had an O-Line! Domanick Davis rushed for over 4 yards per carry last season with a dreadful O-Line. A player like Bush is great, but why take him when you've got a great young RB already? Why take the risk of Reggie Bush being a bust? Why not boost your O-Line because I don't care if you have Jesus Christ himself at RB, if you can't keep your QB off his back. As for Barry Sanders, football players are faster than they were in Barry Sanders' day. The gap between how fast Reggie is and how fast everyone else is isn't the same as when Barry played. I don't think Barry Sanders would be effective because of how athletic players are when they're coming out now.
  19. Give Weis two weeks to formulate a gameplan and you're screwed... imagine him with a month. Scary. I got a good feeling about this game for my Irish!
  20. Besides, how much playoff success did the Lions have with Barry Sanders? A good running game only does so much to win a Championship.
  21. Doesn't count as being fired, but it's a head coaching vacancy none-the-less... Dick Vermel announced he would retire. Gonna have quite the coaching carousel this offseason.
  22. Oh without a doubt. But I think Tatum Bell would be a very good RB on any team. I think if he's the feature back eventually, he'll become a 1,500 yard rusher, easy. The Broncos have turned two FB's into 1,500 yard RB's. Absolutely amazing. Ron Dayne, thought of as a colossal bust (which is true), is averaging, like, 5 YPC. Olandis Gary, nothing outside of Denver, rushed for 1,500. You really have to question whether there's a RB in the league that Mike Shanahan can't make look like a pro bowler, in this system. You get a good, or great O-Line, you don't need a star RB -- plus, they can protect your QB. Reggie Bush would like great in a Texans uniform -- but a RB is nothing without an O-Line. I think Gado's advantage was that he didn't play until midseason. Everyone else is fatigued, has some sort of nagging injuries etc., and he comes in completely healthy and refreshed.
  23. Went from being the next Jim Brown to being the next Lawrence Phillips.
  24. If I were him, there's no way I'd bet on the Nuggets at this point. Ugh. 'Melo will put up 35, though.
  25. You do realize he's never even donned an NFL Jersey, right? A little early to call him one of the all-time greats. As for your acting like the O-Line is unimportant... that's just ridiculously stupid. Football games are won and lost in the trenches! That's common knowledge! Since their inception, they've had, like, 28 rounds worth of drafting and they've still never fixed this problem. Without an O-Line, Reggie Bush will be one of the biggest busts in League History. To have success running the football in the NFL, you need a good offensive line -- you don't need a great RB (see: Denver Broncos).
