  1. Perhaps they shouldn't do that then, huh? Do we discount Watson's great hustle because Champ Bailey half assed it?
  2. Look at the Broncos pass defense all season... one of the league's worst. It's no shock that they were able to pass the ball. But how did your running game do? Ridiculously inconsistent. We gave up 13 points... that's what defense is about. We were #4 in the league in points allowed. This is exactly what I've seen from this ridiculously underrated Broncos defensive unit all year.
  3. No, but I'm saying even then, the Broncos had been moving the ball with ease, the crowd was into the game and the defense was playing suffocating football. That took the crowd out and suddenly New England didn't have to contend with the crowd until Sauerbrun got a body on the ball and forced a fumble. How's that not a good play by the Broncos? Does he fumble if he just slipped and nobody made contact with him? Plummer made a bad play, I don't see anyone taking away from that interception. That lead to three points, shall we take those three points off the board. That drive probably would've been a Bronco's score, just like the Patriots' possession. Or the bad play call on 4th, wasn't a great play by Samuel, just a bad play call. We just beat a team that doesn't beat itself... why no love?
  4. ... Not I!
  5. And the play where Plummer forced it off his back foot? Broncos were in complete control before that. The fumbles were forced.
  6. I don't see how the Broncos haven't done anything to warrant respect. All I heard all week is that the Pats don't beat themselves in the postseason... well? TD for the Pats, still a game.
  7. Three of the turnovers were forced, though. The Troy Brown fumble was the only unforced turnover. The INT by Bailey was just a beautiful play.
  8. That would be the clincher. I saw it coming... then again, I didn't see that it was Tim Brown back there.
  9. ... we know. That said, they are winning. Check out the Official NBA Thread, you'll get an idea on how I feel about 'em. But anyways, to get back on subject, this is a huge 3rd and 2 for New England.
  10. When Vinatieri misses a clutch FG... something's wrong. After the McGinest fight on the sideline, you have to question; are the Patriots losing their cool?
  11. I would agree with that sentiment. edit: i was talking about the biggest third down of the season, post.
  12. Definetely not conclusive. Close, though. Too tough. If it had been originally ruled a touchback, it wouldn't have been overturned either.
  13. That's true, that was the most costly. I've learned to just keep in mind that the refs are human without benefit of instant replay. I give them a lot of slack... much more than I give NBA refs, they're just bad!
  14. I've seen Tom Ashworth with a hand on the left side of Lynch's shoulder pad and the other hand on the back of Lynch's other shoulder without a holding call on the Patriots FG drive. They've missed calls on the Pats too. There's been no lining up in the Neutral zone, there's a referee right on the line, it would be called if that was the case.
  15. Yep, so unfair with the Patriots having never ever benefitted from human error in the past. People, they don't have the benefit of replay on penalty calls. Nobody's trying to screw the Patriots.
  16. In slow motion, yeah. But at full speed, I was irrate when I thought they weren't going to call it.
  17. In the returners defense, he's not a small punter... http://i.a.cnn.net/si/2005/writers/peter_king/04/04/mmqb.steroids/p1_sauerbrun.jpg
  18. Good D by New England. Broncos get the ball to start the half, so it's big to keep it within 7, especially with the way the Broncos D has played.
  19. Broncos ball back! Always helps to have a kicker that got busted for steroids last year!
  20. ... jinxed him. Don't throw it off your back foot, Jake!!!
  21. Broncos have been able to move the ball fairly well, back past midfield to the 30. Plummer's looked great, and he has done it from the pocket.
  22. I hope Shanahan's not getting over confident in the defense. Another big stop for the Broncos D. I said it many times coming into this game, one of the keys... the Broncos are undefeated at home. Any questions as to why? 3 false starts already and the Patriots offense has looked awful.
  23. Good decision to go for it... god-awful play call.
  24. Thank you, now I'm not so outnumbered. For what it's worth, I can't wait for baseball either
  25. Going to be tough to come by yards on the ground for either team. Both teams have a workhorse that'll work for every last yard, though.
