  1. Yeah, I'd agree on Arenas. But when he's on he's devastating. I think he's 10-10 on 30+ foot shots this year. Doesn't really add to anything, just a neat stat if it's true. What gets me about Nash, and has for the past two years, is the fact that he has Amare Stoudemire and Shawn Marion. Those are two top tier NBA players on your team. And personally, I think Marion is more valuable to the Suns than Nash.
  2. He didn't deserve the last two so this one would be pretty deserved. He still has way too good of teammates and doesn't play defense. But Gilbert Arenas has some good guys and doesn't play defense. Based on Nash getting two he didn't deserve anyway, I say give Gilbert this one. That guys ridiculous. And funny.
  3. I just want to add that Brady's great on artificial turf.
  4. Hasn't been so bad. He played a defense that draws comparisons to one of the best ever and brings looks he's never seen before. That Ravens defense is unique to say the least. I don't care if the numbers say they're only 2 or so points better, that defense is far better than any other in the League. He's been patient, using his check downs. You don't have the safeties to do what you used to against him. You like bringing up numbers... but why neglect to mention these ones... 326/2tds/1int 321/3tds/1int He's torched your defense the last two times he's played you. And he's completed passes at, like, a 65% rate. The only reason for no more TD's is that he let the running backs have some fun too. All I'm saying is that if we're going to bring up numbers, why not bring up the most recent?
  5. That's not true, though. Broncos/Patriots is not the same as Patriots/Colts anymore. The Patriots haven't been able to beat the Broncos... regular season or post season. The Colts have beaten the Patriots. The last two times, even. So how is that even the same thing? I have a little theory that there's only so many defensive looks you can throw at Peyton before you have to resort to schemes that Peyton has on video tape, has studied, and is able to recognize and figure out how to beat. ** This just seems like it's Peyton's year with the way the sports world works. The Steelers don't win the Super Bowl when they're 15-1 and look like the best team in the league... they win it the year they have to win out just to make the playoffs. The Cardinals don't win the World Series the any of the years they run away with the best record in the National League... they win it when they back into the playoffs. Sports are weird. I can't help but think the year that everyone counts them out if the year they do it. **edit: Whoa! Len Pasquerelli agrees with me!
  6. The Chiefs and Jets are one in the same. Same records (I think, not 100% sure) and neither team was thought to pose much of a threat. The Ravens and Chargers are a tossup too. A lot of people thought, coming into the game that the Ravens were playing the best football. Also keep in mind that the Ravens beat the Chargers.
  7. Didn't see that but you really can't argue with it if that's the case. I've never known LT to be anything but classy. That said, I don't think NE dancing is a lack of class. Besides, Merriman deserves anything he gets! And hey, let's be fair... I hate the Chargers too!
  8. Are misreading coverage and headbutting a player after a third down stop to set up a long FG on the same level in terms of stupid mistakes? You played well enough to win. But only because you're opponent played poorly enough to lose. Seriously, say what you want. But check the Patriots/Broncos thread from last year before you do. I would assume that SOTK was the only one that was remotely close to being gracious in defeat. Why can't it go the other way?
  9. Okay... one unforced error? You can point to atleast six or seven in this game.
  10. Should've taken one more shot at the sideline to get closer. Better play much better against Indianapolis
  11. They were forced... putting a hat on the ball, like the Sauerbrun one. This is muffed punts, dropped balls, and personal fouls.
  12. Are you kidding? It was your QB that decided to throw a jumpball to Champ Bailey... aka pretty much the biggest mistake a QB can make. We beat you fair and square this year, too.
  13. If it goes the way it looks like it's going to... Patriots don't win... Chargers lose. They handed this game to New England.
  14. Flag, please? Asante Samuel was all over Gates.
  15. Man... it's ridiculous how lucky the Patriots have gotten today. This is just mistake after mistake for San Diego.
  16. How can Tom Brady miss so many easy throws this game?
  17. It's by design... he's saving it for the final minute. Isn't that what you've been saying all game? Huge mistake by Brady to take that sack. Jesus Christ... and INT and then a fumble. This is ridiculous.
  18. Man... Chargers better get their act together if they do advance. These mistakes are going to kill them, eventually. Good coverage on the return at least. The 36 is bad but it could be worse for the Chargers.
  19. Go ahead and thank the Chargers, Pats fans, for keeping this a game. These unforced errors are ridiculous.
  20. Now the muffed punt. Chargers are throwing this game away.
  21. I think the real question is how would this game look if the Chargers could catch? They've had a lot of big drops. Most notably the tipped ball in the first quarter that should've been an INT. Also, I was watching at work so I couldn't hear, but was there a reason that Schottenheimer went for it on 4th and 11 from the 31 or so earlier in the game?
