I just remember in the offseason discussion saying that the Sox should stay away from Gio Gonzalez because some of his numbers weren't ideal, he was merely mediocre in a few areas, etc.,. Now, watching him, it is obvious that the kid can throw and any team who has him is better off.
My point isn't that Greinke is Gio, or vice versa. It's that if a kid can throw they can throw. I'm a mental health professional. I know all about anxiety. I know it is real. I also know the Sox could use a good pitcher and should seriously consider every one that is available because there aren't that many former Cy Young award winners available right now. They should do their due diligence. If Greinke doesn't think he can do it, then they should avoid him. But if he thinks that he can, by all means don't hesitate. Perhaps he's matured now that he's out of KC and a bit older.
