Okay, look at it this way.
Right now the Red Sox are 56-39. The Yankees are 48-45.
We all know that teams play in streaks. The Yankees that are winning now are the same CHUMPS (yeah, jacksonianmarch, they're chumps) that were losing game after game earlier in the season. I know the Sox look like s*** right now. Each season, every team looks like s*** for spells.
We talk about trading players, but we all stop short because there aren't a lot of places to put new pieces. That's a GOOD thing. We like these guys when they're hot, we don't when they're not. I see no reason this team can't win 5 or 6 games in a row against these opponents, and have the Yankees suddenly start losing. Yet another ebb-and-flow of a once 14 game lead. it's optimistic, but the Sox are getting hits, they're drawing walks, they're pitching pretty well, they're just losing in close games. FORTUNATELY, they have a big lead while they are going through the worst losing streak of the season. That might be their saving grace.
