    I was kidding about he sweats like my ass thing. Damb guy Manny does hit HR's, but I'm talking about during "rallies" Manny seems to end them by GIDP or striking out. It could be that we all expect him to do something every time at bat and when he doesn't we are surprised.

    Edgar is far from GOD. I wasn't talking about his play, I was talking about HOW MUCH HE SWEATS! Manny is a rally killa. How many double plays does he have this year... 14 and I'm sure most of them where during rallies to end innings. Yes the guy does hit his fair share of HR's during rallies as well no doubt. Dumbass.......

    2.50 ERA in the first inning? Am I doing the math correctly? 20 innings div. 8 runs = 2.50? (20/8) OR .40 ERA in the first inning (8/20) I was never really good at math!

    An error? I disagree... He was trying to make a play and it was not possible. An error should be (I believe is) when a player does not accomplish what he should have (the catch). Manny did his best...

    I don't know for a fact, but I do know you can play different positions in 1 game. Matter of fact I think at least 1 player has played all 9 on the field during a game (or at least 8, memory doesn't serve me well). I just don't know if you can go back to a position you've already played. I pledge to get to the bottom of this.

    I think our Boston media wanted to make it out to look like Payton was ripping it up in Okland. It just wasn't true. I think he had 1 really good game. I'm going to start a thread to see if others agree, but I believe our media around here has cost us Championships in every sport. Too many players want to leave this town because of the way our media treats them. Most of the guys that do leave because of the way they are treated are babies, but I still get frustrated to hear our media betting up on guys making them want to leave town. It's one thing when you do that to lets say Kevin Millar. He isn't a super star and it wouldn't kill our team if he left, but to attempt to push a guy like Manny out of town with his numbers is just stupid and shelfish of our media!

    It's very possible that Wade is hurting a little and they are using this for a couple of reasons. Rest him until his next start and then set-up the rotation for a come back by Shilling to the SP role. Who knows with all the trade talks flying around it's hard to tell what's the deal.

    Compare & See I'm not the biggest fan of K. Millar this year. Last year I liked him a lot, but early this season he wasn't making me happy (yapping his jaw too much). It seems to me though that Kevin has played much better since we let go J. Payton (better than J. Payton) and better than Kevin was playing early in the year. Defensively he isn't great and I know J. Payton is probably a better d-player, but the sox are all about bats!

    Listen if we trade Manny we should trade Ortiz as well. They are better together than by themselves. Ortiz would be good with out Manny, but he would not be great like he is now. I'm not to worried about how Manny is going to feel or do after all of this stupid crap. If you remember back to when we put him on waivers, he rebounded just fine! I kind of think this is what this team needed! Something to stir the pot. Hopefully this will bring the guys closer and carry them into the play-offs. LET'S GO RED SOX......

    The Yankees don't care about the farm teams. They trade and sign big name free agents and buy their way to World Series. The only problem is that plan is starting to fail them and hurt them. I think the next 8 years will be Red Sox on top for the most part!

    Stop buying Championships! Find ball players, not all-stars past their prime. OR Release all players except A-Rod & Jeter. Have Jeter f*** A-Rod until he gets prego. Then repeat over and over. Sign all of their off-spring.

    Ray Chapman was hit by a pitch in the head and died (1920) the only death resulting from injury in major league baseball. I'm assuming the speed of a ball coming off of a swinging bat may be faster than one pitched. It's amazing that no pitcher has ever been killed from that in major leagues. I think college or maybe high school apitcher died from a come back.

    Wasn't Trot out last year because of back problems? This might f*** s*** up back there and cause him some issues. Well Gabe came back just in the nik of time!

    Remember Five years ago, Bryce Florie was hit in the right eye by a ball. The line drive broke several bones in Florie's face and left his vision impaired. He tried to come back a year later, but just never really regained the abilities. Scary HUH! f*** f*** f*** f*** f*** f*** f***!

    "He had some numbness throughout the site where he got hit behind the right ear," said Lt. Rick Feinberg of the St. Petersburg Fire-Rescue. The hospital did not immediately comment on Clement's condition, but Red Sox medical director Dr. Thomas Gill said a CT scan was negative. "I have spoken with Matt and his doctors in Florida," Gill said. "Matt himself never lost consciousness and is in good spirits. ... He appears to be doing well, but will stay in the hospital for precautionary purposes and will be re-evaluated in the morning."
