    What a great night so far. The Orioles are losing, which is good for the standings. The Yankees are losing, which is good for the soul, and the Sox are winning, which is good for both.

    I wouldn't worry too much. His ERA in April is more than a full run higher than any other month, I believe. This struggling in the early going is nothing unexpected.

    I was just thinking that I haven't modded like this in a long time. Everyone here has been here so long, and the few newer people settled in so quickly, that there was never much to do beyond closing gamethreads and deleting the occasional spam. It's a nice personal perk of the sudden jump in membership that I get to do something.

    Welcome to the forum! I'm merging your post into the Gamethread forum. I'm not trying to stifle your enthusiasm in any way, but we have a lot less forum space than larger sites and we prefer not to clutter up the Sox discussion forum with separate threads for in-game actions or minor thoughts about those in-game actions. Again, this is not a criticism, and if you want to discuss the Sox's baserunning strategy as a whole, there are a couple of great existing threads (such as the 2016 Sox Season discussion thread) where our other members would welcome your input!

    Also, MVP is correct in that this needs to be moved into the GB forum. UN? is correct in that we have to give our sudden influx of members time to adjust to the forum. UN? is also correct (and I can not express to you the depths of my displeasure in admitting that he is correct twice in a single post) in that nobody needed to be a douche. And I am correct in saying that ESPN does, indeed, suck.

    I literally had no idea until this moment that AJ Pierzynski was still on a major league roster. I try to follow the offseason moves, but there are so many around baseball that some of the smaller ones are lost in the shuffle. For some reason I thought Atlanta let him go.

    Yes, several times. However, I never tire of hearing how awesome I am. My ego, like my intelligence, my charm, my wit, my sense of modesty, and Pablo Sandoval, is rather hefty, and like the lush and gorgeous garden of my personality, requires constant maintenance.

    Am I the only one who finds it kind of ridiculous that the clauses (which are generally written in complicated, airtight legalese that covers every possible eventuality) that forbid gambling and physical violence are the same length? And that the "no bribing umpires" section is twice the length of either of them?

    Farrell said on the WEEI pregame show yesterday that Hanley would start both games. Interesting to hear something different from the same source. I wonder if something happened between now and then? Maybe Papi didn't want to sit? I certainly wouldn't have the courage to say no to him.
