    who the hell is Cam?
  4. That the trainer offerred him HGH for an injury, he declined, the trainer said he would leave it in his locker just in case. When he saw it, and realized that needles were involved he said, and I quote, "no way man." He said he did speak with the investigators (appearantly prior to them getting any evidence on him) just to answer some questions as to his personal knowledge of occurances throughout baseball. When he was pin-pointed by the investigators, they say they reached out to him to give him the chance to meet with them again and offer an explanation, but he didn't respond. His response to that was that he had changed his cell phone number several times in the past year (which Bob Lorenz corroborated) and that his home number was no longer in use because he lost his home in the SoCal wildfires, but stated that if he had indeed heard from them he would have responded.
  5. His response was pretty interesting. I wonder how much of it was BS...I like to think he's telling the truth, but c'mon, can't realistically expect me to believe that. What makes Paul Lo Duca, or Andy Pettitte more likely to get PEDs from a Mets clubhouse assistant than Sox player?
  6. Add Bobby Estellela and Randy Velarde to that list...accidentilly skipped over them before.
  7. The worst part about all of this is how surprised some of us, myself included, seem. We knew what was coming. I guess just having the facts placed in front of us have finally caused reality to set in.
  8. Just try to keep in mind the sources of his information. I dont think it's so much that he was more agressive in highlighting players from certain clubs, as opposed to others; but moreso the fact that NOBODY would talk to him, and those who was able to get to talk to him could only provide so much information. If one of the informants for this investigation were a Red Sox clubhouse employee, like Radomsky with the Mets, i'm sure Mitchell would have tried to get as much information from him as possible, and published it in his report. I ABSOLUTELY 100% agree with your dissatisfaction of the findings, and with good reason considering that this. or anything like it, probably will never be done again, but cut the guy some slack. He did the best he could with what he had to work with. He did what he was hired to do.
  9. I dont think Mitchell was a bad choice at all. While yes, the fact that he does have interest in the Red Sox is somewhat of a conflict, he's too well respected and has too good a reputation for him to lose any credibility. I think Mitchell was a fine choice. On one hand you're keeping it within the hands of someone who is in some aspect within the game of baseball, while still issuing responsibility to a well-respected former congressman. I, personally, am pretty satisfied with the selection of Mitchell, and the job he did, considering he didn't have much cooperation and practically nothing to work with.
  10. As a Yankee fan I wanted to make note of all the players named who had at one point played for the Yankees. Pretty large portion of those named have played for the Yankees at one point. As a Yankee fan I feel ashamed, sad, hurt, cheated, etc. I'm just at a loss for words...this s*** sucks. Rondell White, Roger Clemens, Andy Pettitte, Chuck Knoblauch, Jason Grimsley, David Justice ,F.P. Santangelo, Glenallen Hill, Denny Neagle, Ron Villone, Todd Pratt, Mike Stanton, Kevin Brown, Jose Canseco, Jason Grimsley, Gary Sheffield. Amazing. das, just wanted to point out that I recall reading a little bit on Alex Cabrera in the report and packages he had recieved while still with Arizona. He's not on your list, just wanted to let you know. Between names like Nook Logan, and Matt Franco t's extraordinary to see some of the guys who were using PEDs. After seing Franco and Cabrera it occurred to me why guys like this, particularily Cabrera had so much success in Japan. Over in Japan they pay little/no attention at all to performance enhancing drugs, and because they are so oblivious to this issue, it has appearantly allowed guys like Cabrera and others to make great careers for themselves over there. Guys not named, but who fit this description are the likes of Tuffy Rhodes, Benny Agbayani, etc. I'm interested to see if NPB addresses this at all in the coming months. Not that whether they do or don't is significant, I would just like to see a huge crackdown in all aspects of the game. The information revealed today is just absolutely SICKENING
  11. Can't help but agree with you. There comes a point where you have to put your team loyalties, and the subsequent rivalries aside to focus on an issue much bigger and more important. This is one of those points. Enough Yankee/Boston ********...the focus here should be on the widespread use throughout professional baseball of illegal performance enhancing drugs, and the effects on the game that it has had. Plain and simple, it's a sad day for baseball, but this WAS necessary.
  12. I guess I spoke too late lol...i should have refreshed before making that post, which I had started like 20 minutes prior to completing it (phone call). Thanks das... As for Mitchell, just give it a rest Yankee fans. Considering the sources he had to work with i'm not gonna go crazy here and scream bias. Bottom line is he did what he was hired to do. Just because there weren't more Red Sox named doesnt mean it was intentional, he just did the best he could with what he had to work with. I highly doubt his intentions were to downplay use by Red Sox players and make an extra effort to exploit Yankee users. Bottom line is they're all liars and cheaters. It pains me to feel this way, but when you find out your heroes are nothing but frauds and cheaters it brings about an unexpected mix of emotions.
  13. I wish a list was compiled of all the players named that way I wouldn't have to dig through this 75463573939465 page document looking for things. God forbid something be made simple..
  14. This thing is just too much. This document is incredible, just reading the specifics of some of the instances. For example the Montreal bullpen catcher who tried to have the Florida equip. manager bring a package containing a POUND OF BUD (hahaha) from Canada to Florida. So much tp diget right now..
  15. INteresting to point out that most of the players who tested positive for steroids in 2005-2006 attributed their positive tests to supplements that they didn't know contained illegal ingredients down in Latin American countries. What I meant by the whole Ortiz thing is that if we're gonna pinpoint every possible instance of use, and examine the effects that it had on a particular game, season, etc that its not the fair thing to do. For all we know, if it weren't for steroid use maybe neither the Yankees or Red So would have been in the 2003 ALCS for all we know. If we're gonna attribute x number of runs to steroids, then lets be fair about it and examine all possibilities. As for Ortiz and Sheffield's scenarios being different, they absolutely are. I wasn't trying to compare them, or their motives. Just pointing out that they acknowledged possible steroid use and blamed it on not knowing. Sheffield was probably a bad example for the point I was trying to get accross, but just the first one off the top of my head. The difference between the two is that I believe Sheffield was lying, and i'm not so sure about Ortiz. He may very well have just been volunteering that information to set the record straight. But like I said, no more speculation or finger-pointing. 45 minutes from now we'll have about 80 names to gush over so i'll just leave it to that.
  16. Not trying to stir the pot or anything, but that would certainly be a convenient explanation. Similar to Sheffield's reasoning for using the cream. I'm only highlighting this at this point because we're having Game 7 of the 2003 ALCS dissected, and if that's the case then we may as well erase Papi's homer off Boomer.
  17. At this point we may not see Clemens in the Hall of Fame with any hat.
  18. Jesus this has turned into quite a disaster. As for Mitchell, I think he possesses too much integrity to protect Sox players. Despite where his personal interests may lie, I think he conducted this investigation and filed the report sincerely. As for Yankees, this is just heartbreaking for any Yankee fan. At this point just keep the likes of Mo Rivera, Paul O'Neill, Tino, Jeter, Bernie, and Jorgie off the list. I pray to you god please keep them OFF the list! I've never been so anxious in my life...will it just be 2 already?
  19. Lets just get this damn thing over with..3 and a half hours and counting.
  20. I'm gonna go cry now...talk to you all later
