  1. yea I have to agree with you. This is what gives Yankee fans the bad rep, lets be a little humble at least until we wrap it up.
  2. what was the atmosphere like tonight? I wanted to be there so bad, I had even called my scalper and told him to hold a ticket for me...damn ear infection
  3. absoluetly not. Its a shame because YES is such a quality professional company, too bad their boards have to be filled with jerkoffs. But yea, i hate when you guys refer to things that came out of the YES Boards, the opinions of those guys dont mean s***
  4. I agree, when Tito walked out to the mound to pull Wake ( who threw a hell of a game) I was like "oh s***, now we gotta face Hansen" but was shocked to see Timlin come out
  5. nobodys disputing any of that. and i wasnt trying to start a fight by creating the topic, I was just trying to gather the opinion of the Sox fans. Just because im a Yankee fan doesnt mean im always out to fight with you guys, it was a harmless conversation
  6. Randy was absolutely breathtaking tonight. what was it, only like 3 hits through 8 innings. He was fantastic. And it would have been a shutout had any other runner been on other than Bernie Castro, who is like Speedy Gonzalez. What a game, big night for Lawton as well.
  7. thanks a lot dumass..you jinxed it lol just playin but yea, hes right, we need to carry ourselves in the professional manner that our team carries itself. We can go for the sweep tomorrow and then go from there, but lets be good about this.
  8. damn you with the f***ing spelling, get over it. If not writing a paper or anything and you're not grading me. If I f*** up a word or 2 big deal, and you're right, I type fast and sometimes hit the wrong key or not think and misspell a word when I get angry. You guys here make too big a deal of typos and spelling, grow the f*** up.
  9. damm man I wish I could go....got the worst ear infection ever, been in severe pain for goin on 4 days now, I hope I can make it out before the homestand ends
  10. When did I say that Wakefield would not be good. All I said is that I expect Kazmir to shut you guys down. Whise to say that it wont be a 1-0 win for Tampa (and whise to say that it wont be a 1-0 win for Boston). The purpose of my post was not to say that Wakefield sucked or anything, just to say that I think kazmir is going to be good tonight.
  11. Agreed, hes either going to be lights out or a disappointment. We need this game tonight. I have a feeling Kazmir is going to shut down the Sox tonight and if that does indeed happen and we come away with a win we would be in 1st place for the 3rd time all season (first week of season, the day we spent there mid-way, and then hopefully tonight).
  12. Yes Exactly, but we stil cant take anything away from Small. Hes just going to be the odd man out based on his performance VS bad teams. i certainly wouldnt trust him next Friday night in Boston, would you?
  13. EXACTLY
  14. NESN is so anti-Yankee its ridiculous. The only things that can possibly be considered anti-Boston on YES are The Party Poker thing (which is on both networks) and Ultimate Road Trip, which is the view of fans, not the network. NESN always has something to say about the Yankees. They spend a good portion of their postgame pointing out negatives on the Yankees, some commercials throw little things in there (i dont remember off the top of my head which ones, but next time i see one I will share exactly which commercial it is), seems like 3 out of 5 "Stories From Red Sox Nation" have something to do with the Yankees. And anything Sox-related is the same way, the media and fans in Boston spend as much time on the Yankees as they do the Red Sox, so Im not surprised Sheffield is getting labeled on NESN. Same thing happened with Giambi and A-Rod in the past (among others im sure) so its really not that big a deal. And before you Sox fans jump on me, I am not denying that we dont focus a lot on you guys as well, but just not to the degree that you guys do on us.
  15. As for Small, there is no doubt that he has been great for us this year. But I have to think he's going to be booted from the rotation in favor of Mussina. If you think about it, hes really not lights out anymore, seems like the league has caught up to him a little (and this isnt taking anything away from Small, im happy I was wrong about him because I was NOT in favor of calling him up to replace Brown.) because his last 2 starts have been against bad teams (lets be realstic, the Rays and Orioles are bad teams. Theyre not horrible but they definately arent good.) and he has given up runs. The only reason he won his last 2 games is because we rallied for him (Devil Rays, Cano GS) or just gave him a lot of run support (yesterday). If he stays in the rotation he would be on tap to face Boston on that last Friday, and I can honestly say that I would not be comfortable, based on his recent starts, with him throwing to the Red Sox in a game that huge. So I say we stick him in the pen, and if Wright struggles in his next start, flip-flop them. Wright would be good to have in the pen with his power arm, but based on his starts since coming off the DL he has been fantastic, so even though he got hurt last time out he deserves to stay in the rotation for now.
  16. I would take Al Leiter in the lefty/lefty spot over Embree ANY f***ING DAY OF THE WEEK. A lot of people think that Embree wouldnt be good in that spot because of all the walks, but actually he hasnt walked a lefty batter all year. Also, I wouldnt call 4 rookies reliable. Not to take anything away from them, but if the setup guys for the Yanks were rookies they would be far from reliable in Boston fans' eyes just for the reason that theyre rookies. Also, he wasnt acting "high and mighty" he was simply stating that you guys dont play great ball on the road, which cannot be denied as you guys are 1 game under .500. Everything doesnt have to be an arguement.
  17. wow, that is a huge site. Im still trying to navigate everything.
  18. I doubt hes going anywhere.
  19. lying and being mistaken are 2 different things. If you expect me to remember word for word a post I made in July than you are a hypocrit.
  20. thats what I think, there was really no development in the Red Sox system for Hansen. But all the other points about him only being in the Sox system are 100% valid.
  21. that would be a hell of a lineup. Only suggestion I would have is to move Renteria to the bottom of the order and move everybody up one. Throughout his career, Beltran has had most of hsi success in the 2 spot, and as we've seen this year, hes not very good in the 3-hole. Just a suggestion
  22. this is something i've been thinking about lately. I dont know how I feel so I figured I would ask your opinions on it. Do you guys consider Craig Hansen to be homegrown? I would say yes because he has never pitched in another organization. but I say no because I dont feel like there has really been that much development of Hansen in the Sox system. I see his stint in the minors as an opprotunity to get some innings in as opposed to development. When he was drafted he was expected to be in the Majors at some point this season anyway based on his performance at St. Johns. So tell me what you guys think.
  23. I dont know about that, with the exception of his "ejection" game, he's been fantastic as of late.
