You guys are taking that statement too literally, I was a semi-joke. Only reason I said it is because of how much Roger says he wants to be remembered as a Yankee, go into the Hall as a Yankee, etc... I was considering it his baseball home....just a joke sort of (dont really know how else to describe it)

Love to get Clemens back, As you all know, Rog is one of my heros. Sad to see that Houston wont even OFFER him arbitration. Now he cant go to Spring Training with his son or anything. Too bad, I never thought this would happen. Come Home Roger, we miss you here! (wishful thinking)

Flaherty is an ex Red Sox player as well. He came up with the Sox, so maybe his career can come full circle as he retires with you guys. But I doubt it. I think it will be Shoppach. Maybe not though. I think this is a good move for you guys, Loretta over the past few years has really been establishing himself as a very good player.

The SoftBank Hawks of Nippon Professional Baseball (Japan's pro league) have released 3Bman Tony Batista, who they had signed 1 year earlier to a record contract. 2yr/$30mil *I believe). Most of us remember Batista as the Orioles SS/3Bman for so many years, but his big contract was based on the big year he had for the Expos in 2004, his only year with the team. Nothing of significance, just thought I would post it. No link yet, sorry batista can play pretty much anywhere in the IF, could serve as a pretty good utility player for someone.

Yanks signed OFer Chris Prieto. Chris had been with the Angels organization. He made his MLB debut last uear at 32 and spent most of the year in AAA Salt Lake. I know a guy who played for Salt Lake last year so i'll ask him about Chris. Still nothing of any significance

To the Yankees or the Sox?? I really dont want him. If we pay him we might as well overpay for Nomar as our utility guy. The only reason I wanted Damon at one poibt is because I LOVE having ex-Sox in pinstripes. But Embree and Bellhorn are gone so its really not worth having another version of Bernie Williams in a few years. I was hoping WE would get Pierre, He would fill our leadoff role and be our CFer for a few years until Melky is ready. A guy like Damon cant just be pushed to the side for a rookie. But appearantly the CDubs are shopping Corey Patterson, who I would have no problem taking to platoon with Crosby. Its a shame what happened to Patterson, he was so highly touted in his early years, he's fallen apart.

Good Young Lefty who I didnt think the Bucs would trade. About a half-hour ago I heard this was close....I think it is stupid for the Pirates. They trade away one of their young arms for an overpaid, overrated 1Bman. I guess this means the reds will retain all of their Outfielders now that they can move Dunn or Pena to 1st
