  1. That right there is the question of the year
  2. You claimed that you could go and TRADE for Jones, I said that he was a Free Agent, dumbass. And dont deny it; Q. What do you have to say now? A. NOTHING!! Also, I myself would prefer Manny and Gonzalez over Jones and Tejada. But last time I checked Alex Gonzalez was still a FREE AGENT, not a member of the Boston Red Sox, so for all we know the Sox could go out and trade for a better SS or something.
  3. Bad move for Oakland IMO. Whatever though, its not that bad I suppose.
  4. wow, ive always thought things that I would do in a situation like this, gotta give me a while to come up with soem really good stuff though.
  5. yup...read that earlier as well...I wouldnt mind having Nomar, just not as the 1Bman. Maybe as like a super-utility guy who would play everyday, just not at the same position. Like a Chone Figgins. Maybe play 1B a day or so here and there and let Giambi DH, then maybe DH a few days here or there, could also spell one of the infielders a day here or there, same with the outfielders. He would play probably 5 or 6 games week if they did that, practically the same as being an everyday player.
  6. I STILL hate Ken Huckaby for that. And not just that, the fact that he's a lying dirtbag. He claimed to have left a message on jeter's cell after the incident but Jeter denied ever receiving the call. You guys getting Huckaby would be another reason for me to hate him, so go for it. The guy cant play, he will end up being DFA'd in May and then you guys will call up Shoppach.
  7. I know im a little late on this one but here goes. If I was a Sox fan and the SOx had the opprotunity to get Lidge and Berkman for Manny I would want them to do it. While yes, Berkman did have a below-par season last year due to unjury and whatnot, over the years he has proven to be a offensive threat as well as play decent defense (not last year of coarse, but in years past he wasnt that bad, mind you, I am not looking at stats, but just from memory of watching him play and whatnot I do not think he was a bad defensive outfielder at all) and Lidge, in my opinion, is the best relief pitcher in the National League next to a healthy Eric Gagne. And not to mention that he is still pretty damn young. So regardless of the fact that Hansen, Foulke, etc.. are all capable of closing or whatever I would still have to make this trade if I was the Sox. I would also try to get a prospect or 2 in the deal as well, which shouldnt be a problem.
  8. Still possible, he's not that old. But I agree, it's unlikely.
  9. Normally I wouldnt do this, but you've been a prick so I have no choice... Jones is a Free Agent DUMBASS, no need to trade for him. That is why you are not, nor never will be a General Manager, because you are willing to trade players to a team for NOTHING!!!!!!!! -------------- Becket95, you stole my avatar! I took that exact same pic and sized it for an avatar last night and had planned on making it my av today, until I saw yours hahah Only difference is that mine is a little bigger and has a black border.
  10. I agree with you that it is inevitable mentioning the Sox and Yanks due to their division dominance, but we really didnt need the arrogance, especially from Lyle Overbay
  11. This is not what I need. matt morris grew up just about 20-30 minutes away from where I live (along with Joe Nathan, Rob Bell, Dee Brown, as well as others) and the local paper here (not the NY papers, the Hudson Valley has it's own paper as well) praise these guys like gods. This is going to be back-page tomorrow forr the local paper. BUt anyways, I think he'll be a good fit there, hopefully he can become the pitcher he was a few years back again.
  12. I saw these a few days ago on another site and thought they looked pretty good. These are not replacing the old jerseys, rather they are just other alternate jerseys. Well I guess the sleeveless one is, they dont wear BP jerseys in games. But like I said, I like it, especially with the navy blue sleeves.
  13. I think that would be the likely option. So that he can start opening day at Fenway.
  14. Yea, I read this in the paper today and I wouldnt mind having Damon, but I dont want him for 4 years and the money he would cost. I still like the idea of a Crosby/Melky platoon. But having Damon for a few works too!
  15. Clemens still praises Jorge, so I think he would work with him as well, I would imagine at least. For a while, I have to put my hatrid for the Sox aside and just imagine this as well as a Roger admirer and Roger fan. That would be an amazing pitching staff and an amazing way for Roger to go out. Of coarse I would have to wake up and realize that we gotta beat these guys, but it would still be amazing. Of coarse, Roger can just come here and finish it off
  16. Updated List
  17. The reason he retired was so that he could be at home with his family. Only reason he came out of retirement was because the Astros were offering him the opprotunity to pitch with his best friend and be able to be at home with his family. That whole agreement allowing him to stay home on road trips and leave games early and whatnot is what did it. He would have done it if it was any other team than Houston offering and if Andy Pettitte was not with the Astros. SuperManny, what on earth does the Hummer have anything to do with it? They gave him the Hummer as a retirement gift (along with some other stuff), youexpect him to return it when he decides to come out of retirement? I think you are making too big a deal of this Hummer thing than it really is.
  18. I was in the ultimate state of Jubilation each and every time he went back for another interview. I knew Luccino, Henry, and co. werent that stupid that they would actually hire this guy.
  19. Welcome to the club. I was really laughing my ass off when I first read that earlier.
  20. Haha thats hilarious
  21. From his deal with the Rockies he still has more time. I think this coming year is his last though.
  22. yea. I wouldnt mind having him, though I dont think he's as good as eevryone thinks. And plus the numbers just dont allow for it. Johnson Mussina Wang Chacon Pavano Wright Sturtze Proctor Farnsworth Myers Rivera Thats 11 right there and JOe like to carry 11. He had 12 last year and it killed the bench depth. If we do in fact move Sturtze for MIchaels then maybe we coulda dd him or Dotel.
  23. My game today is St. Johns/VT ..gotta stick to the local teams
  24. He would be our utility guy. I like this because of her versatility, he can play the indifield, including 1B, and the OF!! If we do in fact get MIggy, I like this deal a lot.
