I once went to visit my grandfather before he died, only to have him ask who I was. He didn't even know I existed, yet he had told my mother a time before then about how much he loved me and all that.
Despite that horrible experience, I still laughed at Youk's post.
I'm not going to let my experience affect what others say. It's a joke, and only that and I understand that. Some people have a deeper sense of humor. They shouldn't be censored.
I agree with BornToRun. If you poke fun at something you can't poke fun at anything. I make jokes about dead people and other screwed up stuff, usually spur of the moment and afterward I feel bad but I always remember that everyone lives, everyone dies, everyone experiences messed up things and that is inescapable, so why not find a way to make it funny instead of dreadful?
