  1. No. It was done in 2004 simply b/c of the 86 year wait. I wouldn't do it.
  2. I don't have NESN but to those of whom who do, you can post about a players performance or if you notice a pitcher working on a new pitch, those types of things all in here. Keep up conversation of positions up for grabs.
  3. I don't have NESN, so I haven't really been able to see what our pitchers have been doing, I'm going to make a thread all about ST. Let me know about our guys in there please.
  4. I think that has more to do with the players the Yankees have assembled more than the manager...
  5. I'm sorry, but Joe Torre is a great clubhouse manager, but when it comes to on the field managing I think he's horrid. Especially lately. Cox>Showalter>La Russa>Everyone Else. Remember it was Buck who brought the Yankees to where they were. Torre just took over when the pickings were right.
  6. I think that Loretta is also due for some changes between leagues. New pitchers. I don't think a .275 BA is bad if he can still throw up a .360 OB%.
  7. Why do you say .275 for Loretta is a joke?
  8. Got that changed...I got bitched out by Yankee fans for it so I just changed it on Netsports..
  9. I can agree with ORS on that. I'd rather have Tek in every post season game.
  10. Okay it's updated. And it does equal out to 162.
  11. Yea I made those predictions on Netsports like a month ago. I'll edit. I was lazy and just did acopy paste.
  12. Here we go kiddies, stats to predict include as follows: Hitters- HR/RBI/BA/OB/SA/OPS Pitchers- W/L SV ERA As of January 4, 2006 (Subject to change with Roster Changes) Positional Players (Starters Only) C- Jason Varitek: 17 HR 75 RBI .280/.360/.475/.835 1B- Kevin Youkilis: 20 HR 80 RBI .270/.380/.450/.830 2B- Mark Loretta: 13 HR 70 RBI .275/.370/.425/.795 SS- Dustin Pedrioa: 12 HR 70 RBI .260/.340/.400/.740 3B- Mike Lowell: 25 HR 90 RBI .275/.340/.490/.830 LF- Manny Ramirez: 45 HR 140 RBI .300/.410/.600/1.010 CF- Coco Crisp: 23 HR 85 RBI .320/.380/.500/.880 RF- Trot Nixon: 30 HR 110 RBI .300/.375/.525/.900 DH- David Ortiz: 45 HR 150 RBI .300/.450/.600/1.050 Rotation SP1- Josh Beckett: 18 W 10 L 3.50 ERA SP2- Curt Schilling: 15 W 8 L 3.75 ERA SP3- Matt Clement: 12 W 10 L 4.25 ERA SP4- Jon Papelbon: 13 W 7 L 3.80 ERA SP5- Tim Wakefield: 15 W 10 L 4.50 ERA Bullpen MR1- Bronson Arroyo: 9 W 5 L 4.35 ERA MR2- Rudy Seanez: 5 W 5 L 3.80 ERA MR3- David Riske: 2 W 6 L 2.90 ERA MR4- Lenny DiNardo: 4 W 3 1 SV L 3.90 ERA SU1- Mike Timlin: 5 W 3 L 4 SV 2.75 ERA CL1- Keith Foulke: 1 W 7 L 35 SV 3.35 ERA
  13. C: Jason Varitek/Josh Bard 1B: Kevin Youkilis/JT Snow 2B: Mark Loretta/Alex Cora SS: Dustin Pedrioa/Tony Graffanino 3B: Mike Lowell LF: Manny Ramirez CF: CoCo Crisp/Willie Harris RF: Trot Nixon/Adam Stern DH: David Ortiz SP1: Curt Schilling SP2: Josh Beckett SP3: Matt Clement SP4: Bronson Arroyo SP5: Tim Wakefield MR1: Jonathan Papelbon MR2: Julian Tavarez MR3: Rudy Seanez MR4: David Riske SU1: Mike Timlin CL1: Keith Foulke Obviously I didn't even put AGon on, b/c I think Peddy is ready. Harris I think will be waived as well. Wells obviously I thought was traded. But it should be a rock solid team.
  14. Sabermetric formulas are all we have to really go by when making predictions. They take almost everything into account for, and are reliable. Pulling predictions out of your rear makes zero sense.
  15. Those are the PETCOA projections
  16. Wallace is out now. For all of ST and probably the start of the year. Al Nipper is coming in as the pitching coach. I'm not that worried since his '95 and '96 campaigns were good ones, where the Sox had the best pitching in the AL.
  17. Unless Brandon Wood, Harvey Kendrick, Morales and/or Kotchman is invovled, I don't want to deal him.

  19. We'll see about this w/o Mezzone.
  20. And then no Clement either...or Arroyo........them two and Paps to the pen already with Foulke, Seanez, Tavarez, Timlin and DiNardo doesn't seem right.
  21. I still wouldn't want that rotation.
  22. Clemens, Schilling, Wakefield, Wells would all be in the rotation with Beckett. That means 3/5 of our rotation would be over 40 years old with Schilling right behind. Not good on the idea racks.
  23. Lol, you hit 5 HR at the MLB level? I don't think so. He has a slight average on power from last season, but Reyes has hit near .300 before. I'll take the speed + glove over the power+???
  24. I love how everyone thinks that b/c our rival is MFY, that we have to spend like them b/c we are a big market team too. There is a difference between spending $$ and spending $$ wisely...
