    I get the impression the Red Sox may be trying to show off Snow for a possible trade. He has played more in this series than any other series this season.....just happens to come after he makes a trade request.

    I wonder what the Red Sox will do with Abe Alvarez at this point. Seems like everytime they bring him up he gives up runs. Yet for some reason he pitches very well in AAA....I would think the kid could have some success.

    Your right....probably because our pitching wouldn't have let David Wright hit those. I can't remember the last time I saw a ball go that far off a Papelbon pitch.

    It was only a matter of time until Philadelphia could do something against us. We have kept them quiet this whole series. If Alvarez can keep us alive I think the Sox have a chance to come back...its still early

    I'm taking Nolan Ryan hands down. The amount of innings he would pitch in a season was insane. Not to mention he played for many years with tons of strikeouts, complete games, no hitters..... Nolan Ryan was incredible

    I had a feeling it would eventually be a problem for the Yanks. A team with that many older players needed a deeper bench. They should have considered that over carrying pitchers like Tanyon Sturtze, Scott Erickson, Aaron Small...etc. Considering Torre really only focuses on three relievers anyways. More quality players on the bench would have made more sense.

    That would be interesting to see. His batting average is around .240. However, Pedroia isn't the only one who is playing like crap...that whole team is hitting like garbage.

    I think this thread has gone beyond a possible trade....it was never going to happen in the beginning but this is more of a comparison between prospects. The nice thing is we have Jon Lester as well.....Tigers don't have that.
