    I'm not saying he isn't a bad player (s*** I'd take him in a second). But for a player as highly touted as Felix Hernandez....nobody talks about him anymore....goes to show you how amazing this years rookie group is.

    I'm watching the Yankee game and its amazing how differently things changed from the beginning of the season. It wasn't Liriano, Weaver, Papelbon, Verlander, Zumaya that was supposed to be great. It was King Felix. A player like Hernandez only comes around once every 10 years (so they said). Clearly brought up too early.

    I'm shocked that Eric Hinske was traded within the division. The Red Sox have not really used him to the extent I thought they would. I also don't believe Eric Hinske is a long term solution BUT...if you want to talk about a great bench player...someone who can play the outfield, 1st, and 3rd...thats a huge bonus. Just like Alex Cora I can see Eric Hinske being a huge asset to the teams success (if used properly). Toronto decided to open the wallets this last offseason and have completely imploded. Goes to show you want a bad coach and bad attitudes can do to a team.

    We can forget Vernon Wells. However, Gordon Edes thinks Crisp is going so look for Andruw Jones to be in line. His contract runs out at the end of 07' (i think). That leaves the perfect amount of time until Ellsbury is ready.

    True but the Red Sox could find power at a different position. Youkilis and Lowell are almost mirror images of each other. I would think Willy Mo Pena could develop the power to be a 30 HR hitter. Normally we have a powerful catcher who can hit 20 HRs. Personally I would love to see the Red Sox find a way to get Andreu Jones or Vernon Wells to play CF....that would be some nice added power
