    I think that they will either make the playoffs by virtue of winning the division, or have a close call and be off by no more than 2 games. If they make the playoffs, they'll steamroll their way to another WS title. The final outcome comes down to what happens between the Red Sox and Yankees. They don't have to worry about any other team in either league.

    So the Sox are on a little bit of a skid. Big deal. Happens to every team a few times every season. 4-1/2 games out in the middle of August. Big deal. Maybe they'll win the division and maybe they won't, but I don't see what all the crying and nail-biting is all about.
