  1. Wow, he pinned him and caught it clean with two hands. Amazing.
  2. How will the voting process work?
  3. So after this round concludes, we'll have six rounds remaining (including the selection of a coach). I'm impressed that it looks like we're going to get this thing finished, with all but one of the original participants sticking with it. Kudos to the people who have helped organize it. It has been a fun exercise.
  4. Close games are fun, but I would love it if my favorite team was blowing out their opponents week in and week out. I'm not a Pats fan, but I loved watching that team play more than any other team that I wasn't a fan of.
  5. Alright, thanks for the clarification.
  6. Ah, thanks for the 2007/08 reminders lol.
  7. OK, I apologize if I'm missing the point, but just to clarify - our return man cannot also play another position. For example, I cannot have Eddie Royal or Reggie Bush return kicks and punts.
  8. Question - It seems like some people are using a RB or WR selection for their return man, while others aren't. Based on that, it would seem like some people are going to have one more pick than others. Is that how it's going to work?
  9. Sorry about the wait guys. It wasn't easy to find a starting DE at this point in the draft, especially one that fits in with my 3-4 scheme. Fortunately, I really only need stability at that position, and I was lucky to find someone who should be able to provide that, along with some upside. Mike Wright, DE
  10. Holy crap, never seen that before. Totally unsurprising though, Shannon Brown is a ridiculous athlete.
  11. Yeah, at the time, that scared the hell out of me. I was very worried they were going to flag him for that. But the officials got it right. When he ripped off his helmet, the ball was still live, but there was no time left on the clock. The SEC released a statement the next day, stating, correctly, that Tennessee should not have been awarded another play.
  12. Haha, any idea when that's from WB?
  13. And to block game winning FGs.
  14. I think it's probably too late, but the fourth wide receiver spot probably should have been a spot where you can choose either a WR or a FB, depending on what style offense you want to play. I regret not suggesting this earlier. Personally, I don't really want a FB. My personnel fits best in a spread style offense, so my base O will likely be 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 RB.
  15. Yards gained and yards allowed do have predictive value, which I think is all Emmz is saying. They're not the end all be all, but if a team is giving up a ton of yards, it stands to reason that the points my follow at some point in the future. It's similar to the correlation between WHIP and ERA. I don't think a team can rely on turnovers and red zone defense, especially in the playoffs, because the best offensive teams aren't going to give the ball away all that often. On the flip side, yards allowed also has to be taken into context. If a team has a big lead and drops back into a prevent style defense, they're going to allow yards, which they're essentially giving away in order to eat up clock.
  16. This one is definitely three years.
  17. Good pick, I was thinking about him for my fourth WR.
  18. Amazing job by the Giants. Congrats to them.
  19. Completely agreed. Maybe even a couple runners.
  20. On the first part, some teams might feel that way if he didn't have a phenomenal postseason track record preceding these two starts. But we'll see. As for Youkilis and Lester, maybe the mainstream media doesn't give them enough credit, but anyone who knows anything about baseball knows that those two players are two of the best in the game at their respective positions.
  21. I think it would be unwise if Bochy were to pull him at this point. Outside of two batters in the seventh inning, he has been pretty close to untouchable.
